The game will be played at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, Ft. Wayne, IN giving the Pacers what is considered to be home court advantage.

Starting Lineup for the Indiana Pacers:

Key Reserves:
ImageImage

Injuries:
Troy Murphy (Achilles), Mike Dunleavy (Knee), Danny Granger (Left foot), Travis Diener (Left foot), also Stephen Graham will be out again due to what the Pacers are calling "personal reasons"

Keys to the game:
O'Brien pointed out that he didn't like his team's defense, but his biggest problem was with the offense. "We need to push the ball, fill the lanes, move the ball and limit turnovers."

Starting Lineup for the Chicago Bulls:

Key Reserves:
ImageImageImage

Injuries:
Joakim Noah (Left eye)

Keys to the game:
This being the first game for the Chicago bulls it will be important for Rose to make his presence known and get the ball to all the scorers Chicago has to offer.

Summary:
This will be the first time Rose and Rush have played one another since the NCAA Champiosnip game. Last year Chicago and Indiana split the season victories 2-2. Both teams winning one at home and one away. However Chicago did get the preseason victory last season giving them a 3-2 series over the Pacers. Chicago has added a elite rookie and managed to bring back Deng, and Gordan. Indiana has a ton of new faces, only having 7 players from last years roster. This should prove to be an uphill battle against a tough Bulls team.

And Finally the Tradition:

I won't be able to do game commentary. But I will post after the game. Anyone want to do a play by play be my guest. The game is on FSN if you get it. Obviously it's on NBA League Pass as well. Also:

It works, but I don't know if this site will have the Pacers/Bulls game.

Bulls lineup is: Hinrich, Rose, Deng, Thomas, Gooden....at least it was last night.

Our starting lineup looks scary, and not in a good way. The backcourt doesn't look bad, but that frontcourt would get slaughtered by every team in the league.

Hmm...interesting.

TJ Ford vs. Derrick Rose in a game of one on one. Let's see who wins it.

This isn't Rose's first game either. He played last night against Dallas and scored 10 points in 27 minutes.

I think it's interesting to see B Rush at the "2" and Daniels at the "3" instead of the other way around

When did Granger get hurt? Is he expected to be okay? I'm assuming its just cautionary or else we would have heard about it, but still worries me. I don't like seeing 3/5 of starting lineup sit out during the preseason when we need to build chemistry with new team.

Your bulls website shows this being your first game. Sorry if I read it wrong. So he did well?

Our whole lineup looks scary to me. Bu this is preseason. I assume Cro is starting because Murphy is out and he started the first game. What is sad is that our front court looks weak. And the only difference between now and the regular season is Murphy. That doesnt make our front court much better lol. Now Ford/Dunleavy/Granger is freakin damn solid. Daniels/Rush/Jack/Foster off the bench is solid (not in that order) But our frontcourt needs major upgrading. I like Murphy but not as a starter. Rasho I was about sick with from the bit I saw Wed.

Mike wells from the indy star reports granger injured his left foot during the hornets game. doesnt seem to be serious. they also said that Murphy, Mike, Granger, and even Diener would be playing already had this been regular season, but seeing as it isn't they don't want to rush them back from their minor injuries so that they don't become major.

Bulls fan here. Rose was a little wild in the first half and struggled shooting (you can definately tell he had nerves), but still had a good amount of assists and a good amount of passes that should have been assists if it weren't for a few misses on easy buckets.

In the second half, he was pretty awesome hitting jumpers off the dribble and penetrating well along with making some nice passes. Part of this may have been him being matched up with Jason Terry in the second half versus Jason Kidd in the first.

I don't have any website, let alone a Bulls one. I'm blue and gold to the core, just thought I'd point out that this wouldn't be Rose's first game.

does anyone else think that Hibbert can be a 12 pt 10 reb guy THIS year? I think he is well on his way. I know it's just the preseason but if he can get 25 to 30 min. a game I can definitely see him accomplishing this.

Also, Rush is looking a lot more comfortable and he could turn out to be a great player one day. It also looks like TJ and Jack on the floor at the same time could make it really hard for the other team to defend just because they are both so fast. I think there are a lot of good things coming from this very young team. They may not do a whole lot this season, but I think they will be a team to reckon with in the somewhat near future. (2 or 3 years from now)

To be honest, Hibbert is looking like he could be our starter this year. He has shown me more in the preseason than Foster or Rasho. Now, he is making rookie mistakes, but that is to be expected obviously. Hibbert is looking great. Rush too, Rush had a great game. He even hit some clutch shots - from what I could tell on NBA.com PBP anyway :-p.

Man, I'm really excited about both Rush and Hibbert. Ford had another good game, Jack kept down the TO's this game as well and played solid. Granger playing hurt must be why he has shot 2-17 his first two games - I hope thats it anyway.

I enjoyed this preseason game as much as any game I can recall last year. It's so much more enjoyable to watch a team of talented youngsters that you can build a future around than to watch the S.O.S. which had peaked at mediocre.

Brandon Rush, or Rush Hour 2 as I will refer to him, looked EXCELLENT tonight. Overall, the whole team looked pretty good. Jack had another solid game, minus the TO's this time. Ford played very well again. McBob pitched in nicely. Hibbert looked solid. The one player who has still yet to look like anything other than hot garbage in 2 games is Austin Croshere. I don't care what he was doing in training camp. He has looked absolutely horrible in the 2 games we've played. From a marketing standpoint, signing Croshere could be decent. From a basketball standpoint, I think it would be a waste of money and roster space to sign him if he doesn't show some serious improvement over the course of the rest of the preseason. Hell Josh Davis looked better than Croshere tonight, and that guy will be on a D-League roster GUARANTEED!.

I agree. Cro is done. If we had an extra spot open on the roster sure. But we dont. Im not going to bring Cro in for one year just for him to retire. When I could have a young player like McRoberts that is begining to look like he might be useful to our team and rebuilding program. Baston is younger and quicker and unlike most of our PF he plays good D we'll need that. graham would be the only player I could see us letting go for Cro. I dont think we should, but I would understand why. Dunleavy, Daniels, Rush, Jack, Granger, then graham. Just not enough mintues. Plus he hasn't looked great so far but still better than Cro. At this point the only players on our roster that I wouldnt be sad to see go would be Rasho, Cro, Tinsley, and Graham. Maybe Baston. Any way we could get a decent young big man with thoses guys mentioned. We do have about 4 mil in cash we could use and 3 future 2nds. I would still like to do a Rasho, Tinsley, Graham, 2 2nds, and Cash for Martin, Kleiza. But I know neither side would do it.
