Game 3 Pacers vs Memphis Grizzlies

http://www.grizzliesonline.com/index.ph ... iew_10_13/The Grizzlies picked up their first win of the preseason against the Charlotte Bobcats on Friday night and will look to build on that momentum tonight against the Indiana Pacers. Much like the Grizzlies, the Pacers are a team on the rise who made a couple of big splashes in the offseason. Tonight’s game should definitely be entertaining to watch, as both teams emphasize pushing the ball on offense and scoring on transition baskets.
Definitley want to watch the PG match up and curious to see both Gay (whom a lot of us compare often to Danny Granger) Mayo and Warrick

It's not being broadcast in either Indy or Memphis.
NBA.com has free Audio League Pass where you can listen to all of the games, and then you can also follow along here:

I hope that Hibbert is able to stay healthy for most of his career because he is going to be a LOT better than most expected. Is it just me or is he moving a lot better now than he did in the first game? I think that he feels the game better than most of the others on the team. And he is a great passing big man.

I just saw the box score and saw that Hibbert had 17 pts on 6 of 9 shooting with 9 rebounds and 3 blks.

REALLY?? I really hope he keeps this up

Is anyone else thinking Hibbert might start? He has outplayed Rasho and Foster in the preseason, not just this one game. He is the best defender in the post, and the best post player, he might even be the best passer out of the post. Murphy complements him perfectly to top it all off.

The Wizards knew it, we would have taken him if you guys hadn't snagged him right ahead of us. Now we don't have center with Haywood out.
That's all good, I always knew he;d be a solid player, and with 4 years of college already behind him, he's NBA ready now. Good luck!

I think it's possible. He is picking up things really fast and is prooving that he is NBAready by playing consistent. And he does complement the best with Murphy. On this team that is. An athletic 4 would still be better IMO.
But we shouldn't get to ecstatic about this particular game if you look, with all due respect, at his opponents.
Speaking of opponents, I hope Mayo is just really good and that is earlier performances were just to adjust to the NBA. It worries me a bit that OJ had such a good game against the Pacers, who picked up two guys(Rush and Jack) to stop these fast SGs. I assume both of them played the majority of the time against him and their stats were indead not good: 8 turnovers(4+4), 0 steals, Rush 3/11 from the field. Mayo got 5 steals and didn't have to make one foul.

Jack as a good defender?
Please. The Pacers over-rate jack so much it hurts to listen. It's almost as bad as the over-rating of Rush.

I dont think there's any way Hibbert starts unless there are injuries (which is entirely possible). He is still a rookie, and Rasho and Foster arent exactly slugs in the post. He'll be a rotation guy, but I dont think he starts.

I was thinking the exact same thing last night. The only thing is im a SG raises up form 27 feet to can a 3, then all you can really do is tip your hat to em
I made my fearlous prediciton prior to pre-season that nHibbert would average 12pts, 7rbs, 1.5 blks this season. Not loking so rediculous now

Hibbert's averages over the first three preseason games: 10.67 pts., 5.67 rebounds, 2.0 blocks.
That is indeed within whispering distance of 12/7/1.5. You da man, HicksvKnicks!
