"When he (Kevin Martin) was there (in Sacramento), he was always working hard," Artest said. "When Reggie Miller left (Indiana when Artest played there), nobody really did the things that Reggie Miller did. I see a lot of Reggie Miller (in Martin). He's actually better than Reggie Miller, but the only thing Reggie had on him was he was a better team defender than Kevin."

I have a love-hate relationship with Ron, but he deserves to have some sand kicked in his face on this one.

Proof again that Ron has no clue what he is talking about. Reggie will be in the HOF. Kevin will be lucky to make an all-star team. I like the kids game, but comparing him in his prime to a Reggie that was at the end of his career is silly.

I think he's right. Martin when Ron was there was better than Reggie when Ron was there. No reason to get on his case.

Im a kings fan/martin fan which doesnt really matter regardless but please dont defend ron that statement was as dumb as it gets. If martin could ever become as good as Reggie that would be awesome, as it is right now martin isnt even close.

Well, the thing is, is that Ron is basing his argument off of when he played with Reggie. Considering Reggie was on the last years of his career when he played with Ron, the statement's true. Kevin Martin is probably better than the near-retirement Reggie. Not as clutch, but better? I'd say so.

I just like to think about what could've been with the likes of Kevin Martin, Delonte West, and to a lesser extent Beno Udrih over David Harrison.

Well I have no problem with Ron comparing the 2,but he should wait more toward the end of Martin's career to do so.

I think when you're talking strictly on a talent level Artest might be right.

But on a productive and reality level Reggie Miller is 3x the player Martin is mainly because Martin is never healthy and Reggie has a much better understanding of the game.
