Sorry that I needed to create a topic on your forum for this but i was wondering if you guys knew the status on troy murphy? Hes on my fantasy team, and im getting a freaken beat down because of injuries and illness (last week I had brand go down, and murphy not play the entire week) Any information on his situation would be greatly appreciated.

No problem, this is what forums are for. To the best of my knowledge, he just has some sort of vicious stomach virus, and he shouldnt be out too long. I'd guess he will probably play tomorrow night in New Jersey.

Thanks for the response, I figured he wouldn't be dipping into two weeks with a stomach virus. Its odd because i swear he went down with a stomach virus a month ago. Someone needs to take their vitamins!

Yup.
I read a report on Yahoo this morning that said Murphy should be back tomorrow night. Along with Granger and Daniels.
BTW, the game is a home game.

every time I hear about stuff like this I think of the Celtics in like '03 when they had that staff infection scare in their locker room and had to disinfect every surface in the building. I think it was the celts anyways, but that stuff is scary. I hope they cleaned all of the surfaces and they let the guys stay home until they are better so they don't keep getting each other sick.

Well, it's Tuesday and only Granger returned. I saw Daniels on the bench, but Murph wasn't even there.
Hopefully Santa brings them their health and they return on Friday.

Re: Troy Murphy
Murphy was at the shootaround this morning, but Obie sent him home. Obie told (reporter) Kevin Lee that Murph had lost about 20 lbs in the last week due to the illness. He will not practice with the team tomorrow, but may make the trip to Memphis Thursday night with the team.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

20 pounds. Once he regains his appetite he'll be fine.
