Im a big Boston fan for years, but Indiana this year is really one of the teams I like and follow as much as I can. But I must say im really disapointed in all this close games loses, the team should be at least at 50% and I really wish you guys to make it into playoffs.

I wonder if someone has made analysis of all Pacers close games record. I think that out of 28 games played around 15 were close and ind lost at lest 10 of them. So if anyone has info please?

If I will have time I will go over all 28 games and make analysis.

Last night was the 6th time the Pacers lost in regulation by fewer than five points. They've won three games by four or fewer points in regulation, making their record in those games 3-6. Additionally, they've lost all four games that went to OT, making the combined record 3-10, so 13 of their 28 games could be considered "close".

We are the classic case of an unseasoned, young team. Hopefully, as early as next season, we'll be able to handle ourselves better in late game situations.

This season is far from over. I'm still optimistic that they can make a serious playoff push.

Agreed. You have to take a positive from a negative. We are learning a lot in these close games. I really think these are well learned growing pains. Before you win these type of games, you have to know how it feels to lose them, and have to know how you got beat and what you did wrong. We are having trouble closing out games and it's no secret. I think we'll improve later into this season but it may be too little too late. Next season as PP said, i think we'll see us start winning a few more of these close games and getting more and more wins. This team isn't too far away from being a pretty good team. When completly healthy, they are pretty solid.

According to NBA.COM

http://www.nba.com/standings/team_record_comparison/conferenceNew_Mrg_Cnf.html

We are 3-4 when the game is decided by less then 3 points.

More interesting is that we are 2-16 when the opposing team scores more then 100+ points whereas we are 8-2 when we hold them to under 99 points.
