Retirement of a Mod- Scoot McGroot

Post#1 » by Howard Mass » Thu Jan 22, 2009 10:39 pm

Another great Moderator has decided to retire on this forum.

Scoot McGroot is going to retire for a while but hopes to be able to return within a year.

As everyone knows, Scoot just got married and is focusing on the next chapter in life in terms of getting the job he wants.

This has actually be in the works for a while now but we wanted to give count and Scoot seperate sendoffs and adjust the forum to having two moderators. There are no plans to add a third moderator.

My hope is Scoot will return to being a moderator eventually but until then, I thank him for his great service to this forum and wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors.

Good Luck Scoot!

Scoot,

Best of luck with grown up life. You and your new wife have a lot of challenges, but that's the price you pay when the world, and your life, are laid out in front of you to make of it what you will. You have each other, and I hope your able to return to the board as you plan.

However, even if you can't, never question how big of a contribution and how big of an impact you've made on the people who were lucky enough to meet you here.

Only the best, man

count
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

Are you looking for something in the missions? If I remember right, that's what you were in before. Either way, good luck!

Scoot,
While I have wandered away a bit the last year, it was "checking in" on your & count's posts that kept me coming back. You are brains & class, my friend!!!
Keep posting (when time permits), good luck w/ all your future plans!

Thanks for all the well wishes guys. I really appreciate it.

It's kind of sad to have to step away, but with my recent move to Ohio and marriage entering the picture, my ability to watch the Pacers and moderate the forums has drastically decreased. It simply became unfair to PP for him to have to moderate without me, and I'm very ecstatic that PR07 was willing to step over to the Pacers board as well as his duties on the Colts board. We're all in good hands here, and I'm glad to see PP get the help he so rightly deserves.

We'll see what happens in the future, and I'll still be by ever now and again, but I just don't feel it will be enough to moderate the board properly. See you around guys!

No thread for the announcement of PR7? Congrats. You have definitely earned it.

Thanks for the work Scoot. I always thought Tony LaRussa's policy of family first was best. Usually everything else falls in place as long as you take care of your household.
