Pacers Poster of the Month - January 2009
So, I was talking to Grang33r about bringing over a forum game from the board we used to post on. Basically, you vote on the person you feel contributed the most to the forum during the month of January. Grang33r knows someone who can make a sig for the winner as a little prize. The person who wins "Poster of the Month" will not be eligable to win the next month, so we can give different posters a chance to win. You are allowed to vote for yourself. The poll will be up for 10 days, if ya'll feel like it should be up longer, then hopefully a mod can add more time to it. We are hoping this brings some activity back to the ladder as well as a way to show respect to other posters. Good luck to all!
Due to the large amount of posters here, I will only be able to list 9 posters(some of the more active ones) for the poll with an "Other" option. If you chose the "Other" option, please explain your vote in a post and it will be count towards that person.
EDIT: Can a mod make the poll public? I didn't see an option for it.

Grang33r is getting my vote. Hes been working hard to get this forum active again. Gremz was a close second.

I am going with M4E. He has been active and started the predictions. Plus him and I agree on almost everything, so that gets extra points of course.
Honorable mention to PP. I am sure it's tough to lose 2 mods in 1 month and lately he has been very active starting new threads.
Nice thread, thanks for putting me on here.

I think this is a great idea, but perhaps the casting of votes should be private...
Sound good?

Its really hard to only list 10 guys on here. A lot of guys would basically be left off consideration if we did that. I think most people would rather stand a chance than not even be considered...especially since I think most people are old enough not to care about a vote like this. It was a success on the other board, but its your call.
Plus, I imagine if someone wants a vote that badly, it would only encourage them to post more.

PP- I don't like the private way because i think more people i think it's always interesting to show the respect to the people who i feel is the best. If coaches can announce who they voted for the ASG, i think we can handle it too.
That said, if we do agree to do it in private, i'd accept it in the future, but for now, i will say it out loud. I voted for Miller4Ever. He has been great the past month, doing game threads, coming up with ideas on topics and his new game he came up with is brilliant. He's been great for this forum and in our first poster of the month, he gets my vote. Everyone on that list, and some of the newer members, definetly deserve a lot of credit too.
ps. Great thread DGrangerX33.

JarrettJackSG, always gives an honest and knowledgable opinion no matter how unpopular. Very respectable poster and definitely gets my vote.

Thanks Grang33r!

count56.
I voted for Grang33r because of his obvious dedication to this board. He's way busier than I am and still finds a way to contribute regularly. He's kept the GDT's alive with Gremz, and always expresses his views with good reasoning, and what he lacks in quantity, he makes up for in quality.
Also, Gremz has always been a positive for this board, so I'd give a 2nd place nod.
So many other guys deserve credit for keeping this board afloat, and I think we should continue to stay active, but also get other people to either join up, speak up, or come back (a lot of leavers since...the incident).
DGrangeRX33, why didn't you put yourself amongst the other candidates?

M4E. Love the game prediction threads, and he is Johnny on the spot with updating it.

Well, I could say I'd feel weird putting myself before others...but the truth is when I'm in the "Other" category, I get the added benefit of feeling like a villian on Lost.

I guess 10 days is a little long...if there isn't any more votes by this time tomorrow I guess we'll call it a month.

This would be more "legit" if you asked a mod to sticky it and incorporate it into the other ideas we've implemented (Pacers Psychic, Pacer for a Poster, etc.).

I'll throw one out there for DGrangeRx33 who has been inspirational in a lot of these new ideas. I really could give it to Grang33r, or M4E but they already have votes

Is this thread dead? (Haha, that rhymed). And no, I'm not asking because I'm leading, but rather because I think it's a good idea. Are the mods not cool with this?

Congrats M4E. Well deserved. Problem is though, now you're going to have to keep up this standard. No rest for the Wicked...
