To the lurkers:/Where are you from?

Hi, all of you friendly neighborhood lurkers. I know that the Pacers haven't been the same team that used to draw a lot of controversy between playoffs, Ron Artest's antics, and all the rest. I was watching the Heat game today, and so many seats were empty. You guys are Pacer fans. If you don't live in Indianapolis and can't go see the games (like me), then at least contribute your opinion more often to these boards. I know it takes a while to read a long post, but you can throw in your two cent's worth. How long does it take for a post a day? Two minutes of your time? We would all really love to hear what you have to say, even if you feel like telling JarrettJackSG that Hibbert and B-Rush deserve more minutes, or TJFordIsGod that TJFordIsTurnoverProne or DGrangeRx33 that you like Jim O'Brien or me that you don't like corn dogs...how dare you. I don't know if I speak for everybody, but it's been bothering me for quite some time how stale this place is. The BUCKS have a more active board. The BUCKS.
This message has been brought to you by Budweiser, the Great Belgi...American Lager.

I agree! I live in Evansville (I split time between here and Bloomington), and I make it to about five games per year. The atmosphere there is really lousy. For the most part (and my deepest apologies), I find Indianapolis fans to be of the fair weather variety. When the Colts sucked (I know, we're going back about 10 years here), you couldnt find many fans around. Now? They are everywhere. Back then, the Pacers were the toast of the town. Come back to the games people! This is a fun team, and they have some good pieces, and you can tell they really do care about the game and each other. Its the most enjoyable Pacer team since the 2000 NBA Finalists if you ask me.
My response has been brought to you by Bud Light, Jager, and Crown Royal. Yes, tomorrow morning will be rough.

hey guys, one of the lurkers here.. I hardly ever post but i am on here about every day or two, I'll have to start making more of an effort to post, I am a pretty quiet person in the rw, i enjoy reading others thoughts/opions and digesting.
i agree with ^^ aboout this being one of the most enjoyable teams to watch in awhile. I went to my first game in a couple of years earlier this season against the clippers and really enjoyed it. Sometimes u just see it clicking on the court for them and know theres really something there.

I live in Indy (well, pretty close), but I am a college student and have no money. I always go when invited and get the cheap seats and try and sneak down once in a while. But whenever I am watching the game I do try and get on my comp and get some convo started. Anyways, yeah, I think if you are just chillin and watching the game, join in the conversation! It's fun and great if you have ADD and don't like sitting and watching tv for 2 1/2 hours!

I don't know if I'm considered a lurker or not here. I read the board every day, but I don't post nearly as often as I used to. It's not that I don't have anything to say, just that I have two jobs and I'm reading in the early morning or late at night. I haven't even had a chance to get a Jack avatar put up, which I'm going to work on today. I'll try to do better, and I love corn dogs.

Hey I was one of those lurkers too

, but I've decided to suck it up and post on here. I live in Indy but go to college at IU, so I can't make any of the games, but my friend and I are coming up to see the Pacers play the Cavs in a couple weeks. If you wanna find me you'll see me in the broke college student's section

.

I'm a season ticket holder. i have real lousy seats, but I always work my way down by half time. Shhh! Honestly, by the time I drive home from the game. 1 to 2 hours depending on weather and traffic. I'm not in the mood to post. I;m more of an offseason poster. You can look and see that I posted every single article or Pacer related subject I could find on here. I try to post more, but honestly by the time I get to a thread. Someone has already voiced what I'm thinking. Also I probably check the boards about 5 to 10 times a day. Mostly to see if Tinsley is still on the roster. LOL. But I check in constantly.

I post here about 3 times a week and the thing that turns me away the most are the long posts. Not mentioning names but there are about 5-8 people that just repeat themselves over and over and post essays in every thread. Personally I dont have time to read that post so I stay away from the thread.
Maybe if one of the mods started to get on people or made an announcement that informed people that that conduct is frowned upon it might help. Its a shame because about 80 percent of the posters I see on here are great but the 20 percent ruin it for me personally.

You were in China? That's cool. Watching a Rockets/Pacers game in China is what got me back into the Pacers. I had no idea what was going on in between 1997 and 2002.

Yeah. I even saw him playing for the CBA (Chinese Basketball Association, not Continental) against the actual first Chinese guy in the NBA, Wang Zizi.
When were you in China, and what for? I had family, so it was just a simple visit.

I live in DC but I try to go see the Pacers every time they're in town. I love showing up early and just watching the players go through their routines and when they come by to sign autographs or just chat with the fans. Last year it looked like there were only about 5 Pacer fans in all of Verizon Center, but when they came to town a couple months ago I was surprised at how many fans there were. Even out in the street after we won, there were groups of Pacers fans everywhere celebrating. I think it was one of the few games where we actually beat a team by a good margin so it felt really good.
Anyway, I try to post here often, but sometimes what I want to say has already been said. I'm definitely excited about the direction this team is headed in and the future looks bright.
