Draft Day the 13th

Here's the bad news for us in the conclusion:
I think the lesson here is clear. Upon being awarded the 13th pick in the draft, the smart NBA GM should immediately pick up his phone and trade it.


I just skimmed through this and it's a fun little Friday the 13th exercise, but not terribly laden with proof. For example, did you know that with the #13 selection in the draft you occasionally find that "Less productive players went earlier, but more productive players went later." Shocking! Kobe Bryant and Karl Malone were selected 13th so if we end up with the 13th pick this year I don't think we should necessarily trade down.

Ha I forgot about Ed O'Bannon. I used to like him. In my defense I was 8. I wonder what happened to him? Didn't he have a brother that played? This isn't really relevant, but I thought I would share my thoughts.

Charles (I think) O'Bannon was his younger brother. I don't remember what happened to either of them. I feel like New Jersey was involved.
