My basketball buddies and I do this thing almost annually, usually on the week of the trading deadline. It's the first time i'm gonna post this mainly for comments on who's trade prediction got the highest possiblility. Our pot money this year is equivalent to almost $200, our highest pot money ever, with each one putting in about $30+.
There is a breakdown on how the prizes will be divided, it's just quite long and in table format so i'm not gonna jot it here. bottom line is the closest to the actual trade in terms of teams and players involved gets the majority of the prize, the farthest from the actual will get lesser money but not totally $0. So if you got everything right, then everything's yours, tax free. lol.
Here's the main rule: One entry per person. Each participant should have different teams and players on their entries. The order of submission is drawn like the draft, and you cannot select the teams that the previous participant had selected.

Here are the entries according to the order of submission:

Entry no.1) Phoenix & Chicago

PHO trades:
-Shaquille O' Neal
-Matt Barnes

CHI trades:
-Kirk Hinrich
-Andres Nocioni
-Aaron Gray

Entry No.2) Milwaukee & Portland

MIL trades:
-Richard Jefferson
-Luke Ridnour
-2nd rd. draft pick

POR trades:
-Raef LaFrentz
-Travis Outlaw
-Sergio Rodriguez
-Shavlik Randolph

Entry No.3) Sacramento & Minnesota

SAC trades:
-Brad Miller
-Quincy Douby

MIN trades:
-Mike Miller
-Craig Smith

Entry no.4) Indiana & LA Clippers

IND trades:
-Mike Dunleavy
-Maceo Baston
-Josh McRoberts

LAC trades:
-Marcus Camby
-Ricky Davis
-Jason Hart

Entry no. 5) New Jersey & Cleveland

NJ trades:
-Vince Carter
-Keyon Dooling

CLE trades:
-Wally Szczerbiak
-Daniel Gibson
-Terrance Kinsey
-1st rd. draft pick

Entry no.6) Washington & Oklahoma City

WAS trades:
-Caron Butler
-Darius Songaila
-Mike James

OC trades:
-Chris Wilcox
-Earl Watson
-Robert Swift
-Joe Smith
-Damien Wilkins
-2nd rd. pick

I think the best chance is something near #2. My prediction is Sam Cassell to Sacramento for a 2nd round pick. :D I will have to think of what I think will go down and am willing to throw in $0

^Same. College doesn't leave you with this kind of money to throw around. I won $8 in poker last weekend, and that was a huge deal. Right now I have about $8 in my wallet.

It's our highest pot money ever. We started with like a $10 pot money, that was like 4 years ago. And now everybody got hyped about the trade deadline and felt like they got a chance so we ended up with $30 bet for each one. The computation of prizes works on percentages so the only way you can bag the pot is if you got the exact teams and exact players right. That's 100% pot. but you can also get some prize if the players or teams you stated gets involved in an actual trade.
Tied for the first are Entry no. 1 and Entry no. 3 with 1 correct team and 1 correct player.
It could've been Entry no. 6 but the trade involving 2 of his players was rescinded. lol.
It works on a 5%, 7.5%, 10% percentages so it ain't over til the trade deadline's over.
If the winner only gets a total of 50% of the total pot and the 2nd gets 20%, the remaining 30% will be distributed evenly to the bottom 3 entries.
