Preview

Larry Brown plays yet another one of his former teams... The Pacers came back from the All-Star game with a 9-pt victory against the visiting 76ers. They hope to continue that when they play the Bobcats on Wednesday night. There were trade reports involving these 2 teams, focusing on Jeff Foster, Raymond Felton, and possibly Brandon Rush. Either team could be making moves today, leaving their team short-handed.

These 2 teams are great this year, but are both hopeful to make the playoffs. The Pacers (22-33) and Bobcats (21-32) are both 4 1/2 back of the #8 spot, with the Pacers have a .004% advantage percentage-wise. They have great hall-of-famers in the organization. The only problem is that they are no longer playing. Larry Bird and Michael Jordan.

The Bobcats have made a few trades this season. Just 11 days ago was trading recent #3 overall pick Adam Morrison to the Lakers for Vladimir Radmanovic. The Bobcats also included Shannon Brown.

About a month ago they traded guard Matt Carroll and center Ryan Hollins for DeSagana Diop. One of the bigger trades so far this year had the Bobcats acquiring guards Raja Bell and Sean Singletary and forward Boris Diaw from the Phoenix Suns for guard Jason Richardson, forward Jared Dudley and a 2010 conditional second-round pick. They clearly have made many moves this season, and it wouldn't be suprising if there is another one, possibly involving Raymond Felton (a Restricted Free Agent who they fear will be asking too much) before the trade deadline on Thursday.

Since acquiring Raja Bell, Boris Diaw, and Sean Singletary the Bobcats are 14-16 (also lost 2 games while the players were getting their physicals complete, etc. Raja Bell has averaged 13.5 points per game since coming to the Bobcats, while also getting 3.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists. Diaw is averaging 14.5 points, 5.2 assists, and 6.6 rebounds in 29 games. Singletary has limited playing time thus far for the Bobcats. Vlad Rad is averaging over 15 points off the bench since being acquired, the Bobcats going 2-1 in these games.

Coming off the bench, the Bobcats have their coveted PG D.J. Augustin, another PG product of Texas, like the Pacers T.J. Ford. They also have Vladimir Radmanovic, Juwan Howard, Cartier Martin, DeSagana Diop, and Nazr Muhammed.

Coming off the bench for the Pacers are Marquis Daniels, Travis Diener, Rasho Nesterovic, Brandon Rush, and Maceo Baston. There could be a trade before tonights game with a few of those players, along with Jeff Foster among others.

Injury Report
Bobcats: None

Pacers: Mike Dunleavy DTD
Jeff Foster DTD

The Bobcats are 15-14 at home while the Pacers are a horrid 6-22 on the road. Don't be suprised if either team makes a trade before the game or on Thursday, possibly with each other.

Go Pacers! I included a lot of pictures. This is the first thread I have ever made. It looks like some pictures are too big, so I may need a little help/info with that. Enjoy the pictures, but I wouldn't mind if you read some of what I wrote, too. Good and informative stuff. Also, I like Conan. He isn't attractive, but he is awesome, and this is his last week on Late Night before he goes to the Tonight Show. Go Pacers!!

Well I've got most of it done. How does everybody get the pics of the players to be the same size and where do you get the pics? I will try and update the pics to make it look a little better and add some stats or whatever. I can't do that right now. I did update the important things and get the tradition pics edited. But please give me some info on what you think, constructive criticism works. And thanks to all who have previously made these!! It's not easy and takes a while. There is probably an easier way then what I did, so let me know. Thanks, go Pacers!

Awesome thread man. I just grab all the headshot pics from the espn bio pages.

Thanks for the pointer towards the Psychic game. I'm also a huge fan of Conan.

Yeah, you get consistent player headshot sizes if you just jack them from ESPN or nba.com. As for tradition, don't try to upload any wallpapers or anything, haha. I just try to find smaller-sized pictures. Those load faster anyway.

How do you get the pics from ESPN, though? I am good with most computer stuff, but rarely load pictures. So what I was doing was finding pages where they were by themselves so I could paste the URL. How do you do it the other way?

And I am so tired right now b/c I haven't slept all night doing papers and studying and doing this thread too, of course. My comprehention is very low at the moment, what do you mean by "don't try to upload any wallpapers or anything".

I had to resize 2 or 3 of the tradition pics b/c they were too big or something and wasn't coming out right at all, so I just resized in paint. So really the main thing is I need to find out how to get the ESPN pics onto here without the pic being by itself. I am sure I have done it before, I am just so tired and my brain is only half working. My break is coming on here and posting, which I have wasted a couple too many hours doing. Ehh, oh well!

I am finally off to bed. I am going to try and wake up at 7 so I can watch the game and discuss. I am so tired I wouldn't be suprised if I sleep for 14 hours. I am proud of my first thread, though, so hopefully I don't keep hitting snooze past the game. My realistic goal is to be up by halftime.

Oh yeah, and I expect a lot of discussion in this thread, mostly about Conan O'Brien. Also the 3rd chick down is the girl from Entourage, for all you addicts like me, that dates E for a while. She was brought back at the end of last season. I plan on adding the chick who E and that girl (I don't remember her name) and the girl they had a "three-party" with. She was smokin, just like pretty much every girl on that show. She might take the top spot, though. Also, my favorite Kelly Kipowski aka Tiffany Amber Theissan is the first chick. It doesn't really look like her, at least I don't think so, but she is also unbelievably good looking. Besides that I think they are randoms besides Jennifer Anniston (someone prob used that pic before and maybe some of my other ones, too) and Carmen Electra (sooooo hottttttt). All my friends think Marissa Miller is sexy, so I added her in there. I think she is very good looking, but there are some better lookers. Bet Conan O'Brien... Damn he's good lookin'.

Well, more chatter before the game than during it. Granger just left the court for the locker room. Always a good sign.

Rush just doesnt play with a great deal of confidence. He needs to get a few decent games under his belt.

We're missing lots of opportunities. We got lucky during the first quarter.

It really doesnt matter who is out there, we are always close. Therein lies the blessing and the curse of O'Brien's system.

Felton is killing TJ, we really need his scoring with Granger out.

Anyone have an update on Danny?

I heard the Granger injury is a sprained foot. For those who are watching: did it looks serious? Think he'll miss any future games?
