I don't put a lot of stock in this stat, but I think it's interesting to note that the top three in order are Fiesty Foster, Blastin' Baston, and Dwarf Diener. And only Brandon Rush is below the team average for plus/minus.
Thoughts?

Whenever we win it seems like Diener has a +/- in the high teens or 20s.

This actually to me is one of the most important stats. I know it tends to favor against star players, since they are on the floor the most, but it really shows the impact of plays like Diener and Foster. Shows they come in and make a difference.

I see it as a bit redundant. Some of the biggest impacts on games has nothing to do with whether you're gaining points on the opposition. There is a reason why none of Foster, Baston or Diener will ever be called upon to win games, it's more to the point of them perhaps performing better against lesser units.
Example, we are losing by 30, then Baston enters and scores 25 but we lose by 5. Who cares?

I see that plus minus stat and I have no idea what it is our how the number is derived?

It's calculated by whether your teams gains points or loses them while you are on the court.
So as you see in my example, if Baston enters a game when we are down by 30, plays until the lead is down to 5 points and then leaves the game, his +/- stat at that point would be +25.

Well I would have never thought of that?

Literally, when I saw it in hockey, it took me like 10 years to figure out what it was. I don't watch hockey much, but will check out a couple games during the playoffs and check out the Blues box score. For a while I thought it was if you give the puck away or take it away more, if you win or lose faceoffs, and something else. I noticed that the team that won always had a better +/-. I guess I just thought they won because they took the puck away more than the other team did, I don't know. Finally when I was like 15 I realized it. Stupid me.

Play Diener more. I'm serious. I think me and M4E talked about this before. He does good things when he is out there. He doesn't play beyond his abilities, and I like that he takes care of the ball. Plus he is a tiny white guy. Nice to see people like me able to make it in the NBA.
