Pacers' Ford says he didn't foul Roy

Brandon Roy hit a pair of free throws with 1.7 seconds left in regulation to give the Blazers a 107-105 win over the Pacers, but T.J. Ford insists that he didn't commit a foul.

"I know I didn't trip him, but they made the call, and there's nothing we can do about it," Ford said.

Roy drove into the lane on Ford, slipping along the way while Ford kept his hands up and feet planted on the ground.

Jarrett Jack missed a three-pointer at the buzzer that would have given Indiana a victory over his former team, but he missed.

"We had three options," Pacers coach Jim O'Brien said. "We had three guys curling for threes. We were looking for a three. Jarrett was the last option.

"It was T.J. in the corner and [Troy] Murphy in front of the inbounder and lastly Jarrett up at the top of the key."

He clearly did not foul him, very obviously. His defence was so good that Roy had to start his 2 steps to get something but Ford had great position on him.

He would of had to pass it or throw up a bad shot, but Marquis Daniels tripped him even though Ford had him covered. So really Roy would of gotten the two FT's but the foul would have been on Marquis, definitely not TJ.

^^^Roy was out of control when he went down. His only other options were ,like you said, turning the ball over or forcing a bad shot. Nobody tangled his feet up, but Violet chose to bail him out because after two steps the only other call is travel.

...he passed the ball to Outlaw in the corner as he went down. We were in the penalty, which is why he went to the line. He wasn't going up for a shot.

PS: I want Violette Palmer out of the league as a ref. Send her ass to the D-League. She is an embarrassment to an already embarrassed profession.

We're not the first ones to have beef with Palmer. She hasn't been very good in the NBA.

She sucks. Let's just call it what it is. She's wildly inconsistent. She brings shame to the profession, which is saying a lot. I'm not saying she sucks because she's a woman. I'm saying she sucks because she sucks. Any guy that was that bad would never have been given a shot. I'm really hoping more women start officiating NBA games so we don't have to feel sexist about kicking her out.

Yeah, more women refs. Starting with my mom. She's practically blind, but that apparently is one step above whatever Palmer is.
