Our 2009 pick in the draft (#10 currently, and provided it stays in that region)

for

Marreese Speights (PF) of Philly and a 2nd?

This will be providing the three bigs of interest are of the board (Griffin, Monroe, Hill).

I'm interested in him. I've heard some negative reports on work ethic to start his NBA career, but i love his energy and impact levels.

If Monroe is gone, then I would do it... But I dont think that we will be interested if his work ethic is lacking...

Eh...iffy. We have to keep Foster because all of our big men overachieve when Foster's in the locker room.

No thanks. Speights was considered a wuss in college and supposedly doesn't like contact and has a bad work ethic. Once again, no thanks.

How bout Rush for Speights?

I would do the 10th pick for Speights, but not Rush. This is a pretty weak draft, and if all the bigs are off the board at 10, I see no reason as to why we shouldn't do it.

Hells to the no on Rush for Speights, if we wanted Speights we wold have told Portland to draft him.

I would consider the pick for him, but its too early to tell, I would have to know what pick we have and who is on the board.

Of course they will say no... It is their rookie... So they are as biased towards him as most are towards our own rooks... Take it to the comparison board, where many 3rd parties will probably be 50-50 on who they would prefer... Just b/c you do not like Rush does not mean that everyone shares that sentiment...

Speights for Rush would be the best trade we've made since Dale for JO

I will say right now Speights has more value than Rush. Philly wouldn't do the trade, but I personally doubt the Pacers would do the trade, too.

Agreed, Speighs has definitely been better in his rookie season, but I think Rush will have the better career.

JJSG, can you name anybody here who's not a homer in your opinion (besides TJFIG who hails from where TJ hails from)?

I think DGrangerx33 is the biggest homer out of here...and I think that count55 is very objective. Scoot does a good job at times.
