This is the official thread for anything College hoops. I made a group on ESPN to fill out a bracket. The name is RealGM Pacers and the password is obviously Ron Artest. Just kidding, it's Pacers. Whoever wins gets bragging rights, a cricket lesson from gremz, a speech about TJ Ford from TJFordisGod, and a drunk congratulations post from cdash.

I am the type that tries to pick a lot of upsets and don't like having #1 seeds win it all. I think it'll be a 1 seed that wins it all, though. Pitt has looked good, so I think it might be them. Louisville is real hot right now, but they have some games where they just suck.

The teams I like are Butler, Maryland (Fear the Turtle), Purdue, Arizona, and Missouri. I also like Dayton, Xavier, and Ohio State and usually root for the Big 10 and Horizon.

What is your biggest 1st round upset?

IU beats Louisville. Nobody will ever see it coming.

I'm in, but I'm going to guess by flipping a coin for every matchup. I'd have a better chance with that than going with my gut.

^ I said I thought Pitt was going to win it all and then I picked them to lose in the Elite 8... I refuse to put 3 #1 seeds in the Final 4.

I know, it sucks. But it is part of the winnings, so now you have to get drunk the night of the Finals.

I can agree to that. It was probably going to happen anyways.

I was making my picks...not excited about them. I saw that this "TBD" team was undefeated, so I have them going to the Final Four. That's the only pick I'm sure of right now.

Haha, good job. I don't like my picks, either, just because I am not being nearly as biased as I should be. I may have to change that, though. cdash, are you making the women's tournament group?

My biggest upset is Cleveland State over Wake Forest. A couple years ago my big upset was Long Beach State over Tennessee. Tennessee won by like 34.

Oh yeah, you also win "Mod for a day!" and get to be a mod for M4E for a day. He hasn't approved this, but I am suuuuuure he is fine with it.

Yep. In my first go around at picks I had Wake in my Final Four. A pick I was less than enthused about.

I don't have any big upsets yet, but I haven't done any sort of research into the teams yet. My Final Four right now is UNC-Pitt-Purdue-Louisville. Obviously, 3 top seeds and a Big Ten homer pick (although on a personal level, I really hate the Boilers). This will change once I get a good look at it.

It was sooooo hard to not pick UNC, I'm a huge fan and believe they are the most talented team(provided Lawson is healthy), but I just don't think they have the toughness this year. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I picked my UNC boys for going all the way.

(In my state of denial, I scanned the brackets for hours wondering where Notre Dame was. CSUN made the Big Dance, and I didn't know they HAD a basketball team. I went there for summer progams.)

If Lawson doesn't play, stick a fork in UNC.

Do I have to play? I really do hate losing...

I'm in. I just went with my gut and filled it out in like 3 minutes.

I hear Obama has a thread on ESPN. I will invite him, and soon enough he will be a huge Pacer fan and posting on the boards daily. OK, I wish he would join the group, but I don't know about him posting daily on the board. Maybe just once a week. Everyone join, it's gonna be crazzzzzzzyyyyyy.
