Gamethread vs. Heat (or as I call them: The Blazers) 3/25/09

Post#1 » by chatard5 » Wed Mar 25, 2009 10:57 pm

Discuss here, or a game chat can be made if any1 is interested. I don't really feel like looking up last minute pics, maybe I will later.

Interesting info to me that I will share with all: Many of you know I am somewhat obsessed with Conan O'Brien. I didn't really like that he sold out and did a commercial, even though it was Bud Light (my beer... I am from St. Louis). I found out he just did it to donate all the money to a charity of some sort. I am proud of you Conan! Haha anyways, Go Pacers!

Don't forget to make a psychic prediction! Only have a few more minutes, though.

Traditionally NSFW, necessarily.

We've been hanging with them so far, but we need him. It does mean that McBob will see some time.

We are screwed.

I love how we can never get defensive rebounds in the last minute of a game.

I wonder if JJSG is eating crow like he claimed he would. Brandon Rush absolutely shut down Wade tonight.

T.J. Ford was awesome. This game, and the games ahead will prove that benching him for Jack is borderline (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

Look who finally decided to show up... You missed out. We saved the good convo for you, don't worry.

On the TJ front... Sometimes it's good to have guys come off the bench. Like Manu. And uhhh TJ. And me in 7th grade.

...and yet we are 2-0 without him in the lineup. I'm not counting the previous games he didn't start because Brandon Rush is now the difference between now and those games. Some players are better off the bench, Ford has proven he isn't a #1 PG, he got beat out by Williams with the Bucks, Calderon with the Raptors, and Jack now. With the lineup of Jack/Rush/Granger the Pacers are 2-0, holding their opponents to 85.5 ppg in those games. I see no reason to complain.

Oh, in those two games, Rush has also held the other teams starting SG's to 8-33 shooting.

It's too early to make claims either way, because it's only two games. Today's matchup favored the speed of TJ. The Bobcats matchup favored the scoring ability of JJ. We'll see how it pans out. The Chicago game will be a litmus test, since they'll both be dealing with one of the more talented young backcourts out there.
