Granger for Most Improved Player (sign the petition)

So far there are just over 40 people on the petition. Fans will also be able to sign the petition at tonight's blowout win over the Toronto Raptors (Pacers +21). Let's do what little we can to support our boy. If he doesn't win MIP, the award is a sham, and I don't mean a Sham-Wow.

Most improved...pshh, lets go for MVP!

I signed it, but I don't expect it to make a difference. I mean, Granger should be the MIP, but hes already been overlooked by the media and once your overlooked by the media your screwed.

I signed, but I'm really curious exactly what use this is. Who votes for MIP?

I signed, but i also fail to see the point.....We're the Pacers people!

Put your money on Kevin Durant or Devin Harris combined with Stern's hatred of Indiana.

I signed too.

If Danny doesn't win, I'll cry. When you look "Improvement" up in the dictionary, a picture of Danny Granger smiling back at you should be what you see.

DGrangeRx33, Gremz and tbabyy924 are all expressing what I feel. The media has been salivating over Devin Harris, David Stern truly dislikes our organization, and Danny Granger is the embodiment of the spirit of improvement; he is driven by a desire to do his best. I'm not saying that not what Durant and Harris are doing, but I'm saying that Granger has done it in 4 straight seasons, and it's time to give him his due.

I think there's more than a fair chance that Danny might win. People said he would get snubbed for the All-Star game also, but he made the cut there. I don't know where and when all of the Stern hates the Pacers talk began but it's time to stop using it as an excuse for everything. It's also time to stop being so negative about everything involving our team. It seems as if we can't have a positive regarding our team, without someone bringing up a negative.

As far as the purpose of the petition, I think it's probably nothing more than a rally cry from the team to get the fans involved in showing support for our future. Larry is petitioning the board of voters on Danny's behalf and I think this petition (while meaningless in the grand scheme of voting) is a solid gesture from the organization.

I signed it, Granger deserves it IMO. Any time I tell someone he deserves it I get the homer speech but seriously his numbers have improved as much as anyone without his opportunity changing that much. He was our #1 option last year unlike the Devin Harris' of the world.

Also, Harris has regressed big time on defense as he is spending all his efforts on the offensive end, while Granger has taken yet another stride defensively. I have a feeling he will be snubbed as SI and ESPN polls have Harris taking it.

The only reason I would say Granger doesn't deserve it is because he was already very good last year. He has improved A LOT, but he was already good. It seems like most winners aren't very good, and then average like 18 points a game or something. I don't know, I think it'd be great if he can win it.

I don't know if I had to choose a Pacer to win it this year it would be Tinsley. I mean he hasn't broken one law this year. NOT ONE! That's a major improvement if you ask me.

I don't get it. Granger is a stud. But he was a stud last season. The award is about someone who suddenly got a lot better, like Mike D did last season.

I'd say Troy Murphy is as good a candidate as anyone as well. He went from being a fairly inconsistent player last year, to being probably our most reliable player each night out and near the top in the NBA in double-doubles.

I'll show you my activity if you want.

It's called Ball, Stick, Whistle.

Basically you blow the whistle and hit the ball with the stick....

Hilarity ensues.

Good times, good times.

My activity also involves a stick and a ball (or 2... or 3? No, just 2)
