This is the place to talk playoff basketball. I think one is needed.

This Boston vs. Chicago series is awesome! I really like Hinrich, and I want him. Rondo has been hanging around Garnett too much and is becoming a punk. Suspensions...???

Flagrant 1 for Rondo and a T on Hinrich it looks like. I don't like Rondo at all. I think last game he should've gotten a flagrant on the play against Miller. If Miller did that to Rondo it definitely would've been a flagrant. I am sick of this Boston team. GO BULLS!

Gosh I really don't like either of these teams. The Bulls are the lesser of the two evils though, so I am rooting for them.
I really like Derrick Rose.
I really hate Rajon Rondo.
I would also like to acquire Hinrich, because he gives us another white American player, which would make the white out that much closer to reality.
Let's see if Vinny Del Negro wastes all his timeouts again.

Marbury is terrified to shoot the ball. That is a sentence that has never been uttered before these playoffs.

I hope they suspend Rondo for game 7 (if there is one). They suspended Dwight Howard for a sissy ass elbow, so Rondo deserves one for throwing Hinrich into a table. Go Chi-Town! Rid the dirty leprechauns

I can't wait until the Pacers are back in the playoffs. I have been watching clips of the '98 ECF and other Reggie moments, and the crowd was just unreal. I really want us to be back on this stage and see Conseco rocking with a big Danny Granger shot.

Haha, I know, it's crazy.
On the one hand, TJFIG, I think Rondo deserves to be suspended. But I know if he is and then Boston loses, all Boston fans will b*tch and say they would've won it all again if it wasn't for that horrible call. If Boston wins tonight I see Rondo being suspended. If Chicago wins it'll be a tough call. I'd rather have Chicago beat them with Rondo, but it's obviously a lot harder to win that way.
I wonder if there will be any more confrontations in tonights game? A very fun series to watch.

Orlando has the early lead. Noone really gave them a chance (including me), considering the 6ers already have won 2 games, it is in Philly, and Howard is out. I thought game 7 would go to the Magic. I want the Magic to win it now.

Celtics cut it to 2. Could be in for another overtime if this continues

Re: NBA Playoffs Thread
This may sound stupid, but what is the difference between us and the 6ers? They won 5 more games than us. Injuries? Their defense seems better, but they don't seem like a team that is so much better than us that they can take a couple games from the Magic. I forgot they even had Elton Brand and could understand them being better with him. They were only 13-16 in games he played and actually above .500 when he doesn't play.
I will give them the advantage at PG. I like the pass-first PG in Miller. Willie Green? I don't know, I guess he could be better than all the SG choices we had this season. Iggy is good, but Granger, in my opinion, is better. Thadd Young is okay, but I'd take Murphy. I think it's a wash at Center with Dalembert and all of our guys. I also like our bench more.

Boston fans know without KG, they don't have a snowball's chance in hell to win the title. Even with him, I don't think they could beat Cleveland.

That is crazy talk.

Really? Is Young already better than Murphy? Maybe that is what I am missing.
And Boston fans would complain. It doesn't matter if they think they have a chance or not. Plus I think many of them still believe they have a chance.

I would take Young for the future because he is really young and cheap, but I meant this season there was more production from Murphy. What with the 6ers do with Young and Brand? Brand is signed to a looong and huuuge contract, he can't come off the bench. Young averaged 15 points and 5 boards as a 20 year old.

Re: NBA Playoffs Thread
They struggled with Brand because they couldn't figure out how to give him enough touches with Iggy too. Also, his absence allowed Young to blossom. They run better without him and their offense flows much easier. I wonder what they're gonna do for the length of that contract they gave him.
I agree they have the better PG in Miller. Rush/Granger are better than Green/Iggy. I'd take Young over Murphy every day of the week. Hibbert and Dalembert is almost a wash to me, with the fouls being the main thing hindering Hibbert right now.
The biggest difference is Philly is way more athletic than we are. Starting Young at the 4 has a lot to do with that.

Easy, if they were smart, they would go small and put Brand at the 5, Young at the 4, Iggy at the 3, and bring Dalembert off the bench. Continue to play fast because that suits their personnel best, and call it a day.
I think Murphy's production was better, but say you switched them places. Put Murphy on their team and Young on ours. I think we still finish with roughly the same record, but I think Philly finishes with a worse record. Murphy is a guy whose numbers were better than his actual impact on the game.

I haven't seen Young play much. I guess I just thought of him as a player that will be good in the future. Apparently the future is now for him and I was underrating him.

Re: NBA Playoffs Thread
Young is legit, already. He will be even better in the future, but he is already an impact player. Down the stretch, he was dynamite until he got hurt.
I don't think that tells the whole story as to why Philly is here and we aren't. There might be a coaching difference (don't know much about DiLeo), they play much better defense (who didn't?), and they have more experience. That six game series they played in the first round last year was big. That's why at least getting to the playoffs would be good for us, even if we didn't have a real chance of winning a series. That experience is big. Playoff basketball is way, way different than regular season basketball.
