Great for him. He deserves it. I hope he can make the Olympic team.

I just hope Granger rests enough, playing ball all year takes a huge toll on the body. Stay Healthy Danny.

Another way to look at it, is that the constant practice and the high level of competition will make Danny even better. Danny's workout regiment is pretty intense, so his body is used to constant activity. I see this invitation as nothing but a good thing Danny and for us as Pacers fans. I see him taking someone like Michael Redd's spot on the roster.

Danny Granger is everything the Olympic team is about. It's still a long way off, and I just hope that his body can take the additional stress, but he's a competitor, so he should be fine.

This is a big deal. Congrats to Danny. He should definitely accept. I think playing in the Olympics, and practicing against guys like LeBron and Melo is only going to make him a better player.

That's awesome. If I want someone to represent my country I want it to be Granger. And cdash. And gremz (I like Aussies representing my country, so what?) That is awesome though and something Pacer fans and Granger should be very proud of.

I could see Danny wanting to wear that usa uniform but I'd rather see him take the time off and rest. When are we talking 2012 or is it sooner?

Yeah, it is 2012. They are trying to get 4-year committments, like they did for the last olympics. You can't just get the best Americans and throw them together and expect them to win. They've got the world championships, too.

These guys work hard in the offseason too, but tend to overlook injuries when on any team. Yao, Ginobilli, and Garbahosa are prime examples. It is great that he will be competing against the best every day though, as Lebron's improvement this year on defense can somewhat be linked to his Olympic involvement.

Congrats and good luck Danny, but know when to say when.

Definitely. It's one of the highest honors to go and play for your country. Wearing red, white and blue and trying to be Olympic champions is huge.
