I went last year and it was fun. Many players were in attendance. You get a chance to actual stand around and talk to the players, unlike a autograph session. I will be going again this year.

I went last year too, and echoing greenway, it was really fun. The draft this year is on my birthday, so I might force some unwitting friend to go with me again. Either way, I am going to try to make it there.

This isn't the Suns' board. But that would blow.

Which by the way, I'm still pissed that Bird didn't shell out some cash for Fernandez. I was under the influence he was a big fan of his. I bet the Suns would have went a bit lower to send the player to the Eastern conference instead.

I don't think you can pin that on Bird, that is more of an ownership decision there. I'm sure he wanted to, but I'm sure a lot of teams want to, but not all owners are willing to fork over the cash.

Seconded.

The Pacers have been giving out great deals all year and it kills me to not be able to attend any of them.

Are you guys making all of this up, enticing me with free hot dogs, and then I go down to Conseco and no1 is there. All so you can have draft night w/o me? Good plan.

I might go. I kinda like watching it at home to hear all of the trades that might go down and all of that. My friend texted me yesterday and was like are we going again, it was awesome last year. And I said were you hammered, I wasn't even there. Actually he is the one that showed me this site, but he doesn't post very often. Hey fredjones20!

In conclusion, thanks for the info and I may be in attendance.

The only thing that sucked for me is that my buddies I went with aren't big NBA fans, and wanted to leave after the Pacers picked, so that was a downer.

lol

I remember fredjones20! Bring him back to the forums. What the heck. haha

I usually watch it with a few friends. Order some pizza. Get a 30 pack of labatt. And just watch it on tv and dicuss all the moves like we're some kind of experts. haha. Last year i remember i spend almost all night chatting on realgm and had to work at 7. This season, i took the Friday off! For those who don't go, we should do a realgm chat room party... lol

I will talk to my friend and have him submit more messages.

2 years ago we did a "power hour". A Chatard power hour is different.... We don't use beer... Some cheap vodka and 5 guys. Each person has to take a shot every minute for an hour. It isn't healthy. I think a few of us had some sort of "stomach flu" when we woke up. Oooh, good times. And by good I mean awful. I need to go to this draft party just to avoid that cherade.

Man, are you sure you aren't Canadian? Hockey and Labatt?

I like the chat idea, kind of like we had for some Pacer games. We had some decent turnouts in AIM. Hell, even if I go to the draft party, I'll still partake in that. It would take me all of two seconds to get that AIM app on my phone.

Do you think Conseco has Wi-Fi?

I know the Starbucks in Conseco has Wi-Fi, but I don't think the rest of the building does.

What kind of watered down vodka were you guys drinking? You guys would be dead after 20 minutes of that game. lol

Well 5 guys, so each person takes a shot every 5 minutes. 12 shots in an hour gets kinda tough, especially when it's a nice $10 half-gallon of Skol. I don't drink as much now, though, so I gotta get better stuff. Man, we would drink a lot after that "power hour", too. Definitely some rough days after the few times we did that.

haha Labatt up here is actually considered domestic beer. Everyone drinks it up here. It's Labatt or Molson.

I went with 4 of my buddies last year and it was pretty cool. I just remember taunting the guys sitting near us who wanted us to draft Brook Lopez. Turns out he's actually pretty good, lol. I was kinda bummed that we didn't get DJ Augustin, but was happy with Bayless. Then by the time I drove home, my buddy had called me and said "did you hear about the trade?" I was so ticked off that we traded Bayless. And as it turns out yet again, Brandon Rush is my favorite Pacer not named Danny.

I'll be in attendance this year as well, most likely with the same group of friends.
