First reaction:

DeJuan Blair is shorter than I expected, measuring 6"6.5 with shoes. However, his wingspan is freakish at 7"2. He's obviously the big boy of the bunch weighing in at 277 lbs.

Tyreke Evans standing reach is about 1.5 in shorter than Blake Griffin's

Stephen Curry and Ty Lawson have relatively short arms

Look at Tyler Hansbrough - 6'9.5" in shoes. So much for all that talk of being undersized. He may have vaulted ahead of DeJuan Blair in the draft.

I doubt it's that much. There's still an awful lot of hate for Hansbrough. Maybe undeserved though.

I'm a Hansbrough fan and that even surprised me. 6'9.5 is still a little undersized, and I don't think he has the athleticism or wing span to be a starter in the NBA. But I think he will be a great player off the bench and one of the best locker room guys in the NBA.

People should remember that guys still have an inch left in them when they're 20, and sometimes even more than that. KG has always been listed as 6'11", but that was when he was drafted, and he's much closer to 7'.

Well 6'9.5" is still a quality size for an NBA power forward. He also tipped scales at 234 lbs. Guy only needs to add 8-10 lbs over the life of his career, but that's not impossible in the day and age of this NBA.

Yeah, the Hansbrough measurements were a surprise to me as well. I thought he was only about 6'7.

I would like Hansbrough as a back-up PF in the NBA. I could actually see him being pretty decent. He is tought and works hard. As long as he can find some shorts that fit right so he doesn't have to adjust them 100 times a game.

I am of the opinion that we need to draft a point guard at #13. The PG class is so deep and our other area of need (PF) is extremely thin.

No. Blair will likely go any where from 10-14...maaaaybe slipping to 16, while Hansbrough is still probably going to go somewhere in the 20's.

Blair's measurements were about where Scouts expected them, and his weight and workouts were better, so he's helped himself. While Hansbrough measured better than expected, he has basically been as expected otherwise, which does not help him at all.

^Agreed. I think the highest Hansbrough goes is #20 to Utah.

I thought the one player that stands out to me is Taj Gibson. listed at 6'9 in shoes I know he is not very tall but a wingspan of 7'4. that really stands out to me. I remember watching him in the tourney this year and I was impressed with his play and effort. I know he is also small 210...heck i almost way as much as him but maybe thats just cause of all the beer i drink. I think he would be an excellent pick up in the 2nd round...or A.J. Price. I am a bit biased because I am a UCONN fan, but I think his leadership this past year was outstanding, coming from his past troubles I think it showed that he put it in the past and really got back to being a great basketball player, and to think he had an ACL tear just a year ago. another potential pick up in 2nd round in my opinion

Austin Daye...wow. He measured taller and longer than "virtually" any small forward in the history of the draft, and also the skinniest. Durant weighed in at 215 pounds, and Daye is 191. That is crazy skinny. And, of course, via Chad Ford:

A number of teams in the late lottery to mid-first round -- including the Bobcats, Pacers, Suns and Pistons -- are all giving him a hard look right now.

Considering his biggest knock, by far, was the myth that he was undersized (6'6"-6'7"), I'd say you're greatly underestimating how he measured out. He's no longer the dominant NCAA guy who's too small for the NBA.

Earl Clark's measurements look great. I know he's not the "enforcer" type a lot of Pacer fans were looking for, but he's probably too good of a talent to pass up at #13. For the record, I think he'll be gone by then. Maybe to Toronto at #9.

KG is still probably 6-11.

Anyway I hope you weren't referring to Hansbrough above when mentioning a further growth spurt. spurt. The dude is already 24 or 25.

I'm becoming quite the Earl Clark fan. I have no doubt that guy could play at the power forward spot in the NBA, and an interesting note (again) from Chad Ford's writeup today on Clark said that on the right team, with the right mentor (aka, Danny Granger) he could really blossom, but on the wrong team with a bad mentor, and he could be a bust. Clark rebounds well and has great athleticism, so I really wouldn't be upset if we took him at #13 and then acquired another first rounder (say, in the early 20s) and picked whichever point guard dropped.

I agree Earl Clark is another one of my favs. I saw him play in the Indy Regional this past tournament, and i was very impressed with the way he plays and his athleticism. He is sorta my roy hibbert of this years draft...o i really wanted us to draft roy...and was so happy we did...

They were talking about Earl Clark on TV maybe two weeks ago, and they said according to one unnamed scout, Clark is the hardest worker in this draft. He's a workaholic and when he worked out for several scouts, the scouts have the option to ask him questions after words, like a mini-interview, and they said Clark said "i have 1 question to you all, what can i work on, to get better?" The scouts said, never in their time of covering draft prospects have they ever seen a prospect ask that.

That was a GM he asked that question to I think. I like Clark. Especially after seeing his measurements, I have no doubt the guy could play the 4 in the NBA, and he has the added advantage of being able to play the 3 as well, giving us a little more depth and versatility.
