Jordan Hill?

-Jordan Hill potentially slipping into the bottom of the top-10 or even possibly slightly beyond. The talk is that the Washington Wizards’ 5th pick could very well end up being claimed by Stephen Curry (whether for them or another team trading up), and that since Minnesota, Golden State, New York and maybe even Toronto appear to be looking at other positional needs, Hill could be on the short end of the stick come draft night.
http://www.draftexpress.com/article/Reebok-Eurocamp-Day-Two-3251/Wouldn't it be perfect if Hill somehow fell to us? I don't think the Nets or Bucks pass on him, but he would be the perfect fit for the Pacers as we need a back-to-the-basket PF.

I haven't even considered him @ 13, but it would be nice.

I was looking at this earlier, and I pretty much agree with everything you just said. I don't think the Nets and Bobs both pass on him, but it wouldn't shock me greatly if he fell to #10 or #11.

I think it's almost unfathomable that he would slip past all three of Milwaukee, New Jersey, and Charlotte, but if he does slide to the bottom half of the top-10, I'd love to see us make a move to land him. He's the athletic power forward we've been looking for. He could become Dale Davis with an offensive game.

That would be great. I saw him play in the Sweet 16 game here and besides budinger he was the only one I was impressed with from Arizona. I am still weary of him a little bit. This draft class is weak and think if he was drafted last year..where would he have gone??? But still would be a steal for the pacers at 13.

Also lists in the same article or same area of articles that many teams are also shying away from DeJuan Blair because of arthitis in both knees.
That's the same problem that claimed 3 seasons with Jermaine O'Neal in Indiana as I do recall.

I thought he was horrible against Louisville in the Sweet 16. Samardo Samuels abused him down low. He wouldn't be a bad pick for us, but if this were a stronger draft, I don't even think he's a lottery pick. From my point of view, he looks more like Ronny Turiaf than he does Chris Bosh. A nice hustle player who will rebound and block shots, but I haven't seen many go-to offensive moves.

I hope Blair is drafted before we pick. My nightmare would be taking him.

Jordan Hill is the one player in this draft that I've adamantly wanted us to land. Even before the end of the season for us, I was talking to my buddy, as we left Conseco, about how awesome it would be if we could pick him up in the draft. Doesn't hurt that I'm an Arizona Wildcats fan.

I remember a few years ago, when every expert was saying how impossible it would be for Danny Granger to fall below the 10th pick, and he arrived for us at #17. There seems to be quite a few people who can fall to us, from Brandon Jennings to DeJuan Blair.

I think DeJuan Blair falls out of the lottery...

Drafting Dejuan Blair is my worst nightmare, however I think with the recent news of his knee problems he is all but assured to be out of the lottery.
Jordan Hill is one of the only players I would consider trading up to get in this draft, he is a top 5 player in terms of talent and fits our needs to a T.

I'm not sure about Hill. The few times I saw him in college he was just ok on offense and I agree with PR07 about more Turiaf than Bosh. Also you haven't really heard much hype about him lately. Sure at the start he was supposed to be 3 or 4, but I have heard no one raving about him which might end up meaning something...

Yeah, you really don't hear anything about him. Positive or negative.
I like Hill, and I'd be happy if he fell to us, but he isn't someone I would target and trade up to acquire.

When I did the Wiz's 5th pick in our mock draft, I thought the same thing, that if Hill wasn't selected at 5, he could tumble down the board.... If he isn't taken at by the Nets, well, well, there would be a nice scenario for the Pacers.

He has always had a bad work ethic and has a small basketball IQ. He makes a lot of mistakes in games, like double dribbles. He's not a Larry Bird player. If he drops to 13th, he'll drop even further.

I doubt Bird would not take not only the best player available, but also a player at a huge need for us. Now, he may use him as trade bait, but Jordan Hill would not fall past us if we were picking, no way.
I want us to trade up and take Jrue Holiday. I wanted Westbrook last year and I want Holiday this year.

I like Holiday too but just like Westbrook last year he is flying up the draft charts, most mocks have him in the top 5 now so trading up for him is going to be tough. I think our best shot would be to offer TJ for Minnesota's pick and hope he falls to 6, not sure if Minnesota would be interested though.

I'm pretty interested too. Typical for us though, he had to go and have an extremely productive combine and push his stock up.

I would trade up a little bit to get him. Get some extra picks. Trade up to get Hill and then hope Jennings falls to us. That would be a great draft, in my opinion.
