I see that Daniels has a team option of $7.3 million or so. I know he was productive last year (when he played) but I'm guessing that's just too much money and you guys are going to let him go. Is that the assumption around there, and do you think you'll try to re-negotiate a new contract?

The Pacers won't be picking up his option, and I don't see him returning.

It's been hard for me because I really like Quis, but I've grown to accept that he won't be back. We just can't afford to bring him back at that price. We've got to re-sign Jarrett Jack and Granger's new extension kicks in next year. On top of that we don't have enough players under contract so we're gonna need to fill the roster out with minimum type deals.

No way Pacers exercise option. Doubt there is much interest even at a much lower salary amount. You just can't count him to stay healthy.

Quis is as good as done in a Pacers uniform. It would take a Matt Barnes current salary situation for us to retain him.

90% quisy's upside as a good all around player and individual defender helps him to catch on with another team for a reasonable amount. (cleveland has to sign someone right?)

8% even at an economically depressed salary quizy goes to a town with no shooting guards to make a minor contribution, or gets added to a contender for depth.

2% chance in a money tight market, GM's remember that he was with SJ at the strip club, and JT at the Bar when someone stole a coat and they beat up a bartender, They also pull his statline and see that as a pacer he's played 0 full seasons, has what I would call injury problems considering one thing or another always seems to be keeping him out. This all leads to a perfect storm of factors where he's looking for a low money one year deal and we sign him since we draft some Bigs. Better to stay here in a system where you can shine for a year before trying free agency again then go to a team where you'll be struggling for minutes on a long term low money deal.

Bruno on Pacers.com seems to think that if the draft doesn't give us a wing we may need to resign Quis. makes sense.

similarly, it sounds like if one of the top points drop to us, we'll take him and then not chase Jack. otoh, we won't stretch to take a point we aren't crazy about and if that's all that is available to us, we'll have to bid higher for Jack.
