Not sure about the source. Haven't heard anything though.

Unless someone like Henderson or Jennings falls to us, I wouldn't mind getting 16 and 26 for 13.

This is 'old'. It's the Chad Ford speculation that Chicago wants to trade up and since the Nets and Bobcats had already zeroed in on targets, by process of elimination, that left Indiana as the remaining partner - nothing on whether we would do that, and I would imagine that Bird is holding off to see who is on the board at 13 before pulling the trigger. I'd to pick up No. 26 to get Ahmad Nivins who could be our insurance in case we don't get the big we want in next year's draft.

At 26, you can get better value than Nivins.

There are also reports saying we are still trying to get to #5, im taking the "ill believe it when I see it" approach from now until after the draft.

Chicago is looking for either Henderson or Blair. I saw something on ESPN saying that is one of those two players were available then they would trade their picks.

Arnt we looking at the same players? Trading down to get 2 more rookies this year seems like overkill, especially considering we were one of the deepest teams last year.

Getting the 5th pick and trying to get the 5th pick are two different things. I do think they are trying. Chad Ford said last week or so if Pacers packaged the 13th and Foster, they could land near the 5. However, i don't think Bird will do anything stupid to land the 5th... like 13th, Foster and 2010 first.

Yeah I was just pointing out that there is alot of speculation, trading up, trading down, chances are we will stay where we are.

Yeah i gotcha. I just feel good about our chances tomorrow. I do have a bad feeling that a few chips will fall in the wrong place and we will end up with a project player, and if he pans out or not idk, but i feel good that Bird is trying. I love knowing my team is trying to win, is trying to be the best. I mean, honestly, they could seriously do like 30 different things tomorrow. Now Ford says maybe Troy Murphy could be moved? Very interesting stuff.

If they trade Ford, i honestly don't see us picking Lawson and being satisfied with the trip of Lawson, Jack and Diener. If they do trade Ford, i think they are going to get a bigger player in return, a Evans or Holiday.

more likely that instead of us waiting to see who is at 13 it'd be Chicago waiting to see that. you don't trade up until you know the guy you wanted is there. that's exactly what Portland did with us last year. personally, I'd much rather be dealing with Chicago than MN.

I'd be sold on a Lawson, Jack duo or even Maynor, Jack.

As far as Nivins at 26 - I'm telling ya, he's a sleeper pick and a good prospect. We aren't the only ones who know it. I think you gotta be top 5 in the second to get him, so I don't think it would be that bad of a reach. I really like Toney Douglas in the range, but I'm assuming we'll go guard early, and need still need a big.

The nets brought Hansborough in for a second look and they pick #11. Makes you wonder if they really zeroed in on anybody because a trade to #16 would still guarantee Tyler to them unless the Pacers take him at #13.

Or Charlotte, Detroit, or Chicago.
