I don't like this deal for Orlando. Howard gets in a lot of foul trouble and when he did, Battie played some minutes. They have Marcin Gortat who also played good amount, but he's a free agent and may bolt Orlando for bigger money. If they lose both Gortat and Battie, who will be Howard's backup?

The deal was Lee, Alston, Battie for Carter, Ryan Anderson.

For crying out loud, the Magic getting Carter does NOT mean they lose Turkoglu. I don't get where people are just making this assumption. They basically upgraded from Lee/Redick to Carter. Turkoglu will be back, the Magic will pay the luxury tax to keep him.

I really don't think Hedo will return. Not even because of this trade.

Who's paying him in free agency? No one. He goes back to Orlando.

all i know its a good thing for lakers fans that carter wasnt getting the open pass to win game 2,id have to think carter makes that shot that lee missed.
