Long odds nothing new for Price By Conrad Brunner

Adversity is nothing new to A.J. Price. In fact, he's not entirely sure what he'd do without some kind of hurdle to clear.

The second-round pick from Connecticut views his current challenge with the Pacers pragmatically. True, they already have two veteran point guards under contract (T.J. Ford and Travis Diener) and have a qualifying offer extended to a third (Jarrett Jack).

There wouldn't appear to be much in the way of room on the roster.

Then again, they must've drafted Price for a reason.

I'm beginning to come around for this guy, but he has to show me something.

I wouldn't mind him on the team, but I think that would mean we have to get rid of Diener. And I don't think it'd be a bad idea to get rid of Ford for possibly a different PG. I don't know, I personally don't think it's a horrible idea to go for a semi-older PG like Bibby, and then maybe the Hawks want a young PG in Ford! I also like Jack starting, I just don't know what I want. I just don't think that it's TJ. Sorry TJ.
