Pretty quiet right now by Mike Wells

Don't tell Pacers coach Jim O'Brien summer league games are meaningless.

O'Brien won't be sitting in the stands with his legs stretched out next to team president Larry Bird. He'll be on the bench yelling out plays.

O'Brien will coach the Pacers summer league team in Orlando next week. It's not common for head coaches to coach summer league. That honor usually goes to assistant coaches.

O'Brien is doing it because Tyler Hansbrough, Brandon Rush, Roy Hibbert, Josh McRoberts and A.J. Price are on the roster.

The calm before the storm. And by storm I mean I want David Lee. I guess we have Hansbrough now... Hmmm. Hansbrough is the next David Lee, of course! So now we don't need Lee!

I like it. I think they need to be coached by O'Brien. The more used they get to the style the better especially in Hansbrough's case.

I agree, with O'Brien coaching them now, they learn the system faster, and coach will learn their strengths and be able to use them in games when he really needs them. It adds a bit of seriousness for the players as well, knowing they are playing to impress the coach, good for Obie.
