The nervous rookie, the player that wondered what awaited him in the NBA, is long gone.
He has been replaced by a much more confident Brandon Rush, bolstered by the knowledge of what he has done and the promise of what he may soon be able to accomplish.
Unable to join the Pacers' summer league team last year because his acquisition from Portland was not finalized in time, Rush is taking full advantage of the extra preparation time now.
He worked through the entirety of the team's rookie and free agent camp Thursday through Sunday in Conseco Fieldhouse and is currently in Orlando with the summer-league team.
After scoring 15 points on 4-of-18 shooting in a 75-67 overtime victory over a Nets/Sixers combo team Monday, Rush was expected to sit out Tuesday's 7 p.m. game against Oklahoma City to rest a sore knee.

Good read. The knee issue isn't the point of the story, but is what stood out to me. We really, and I mean really cannot afford for him to be injured.
