Travis Diener

What do you guys think of him? I honestly think he's a great PG and deserves more minutes for us. He manages the team well, shoots the ball very well, and never turns the ball over. Sure, he may not be the best on the defensive end of the floor, but I think he should be getting more minutes than he is.

If he was about 2 inches taller and 25 pounds heavier, with the same quickness and ability, I think he would at the very least be a quality 2nd string PG. Unfortunately he's too undersized to be very effective on the defensive end. He'll never really be much more than what he has been for us. He fills a role and he's very good at that, but if he was thrust into a role where he's expected to play 20-30 minutes a game, he wouldn't look nearly as good as he does playing 10-15 minutes.

I think he can be pretty good in a limited backup role, but I wouldn't call him great.

I was just thinking about last year. He didn't really even play 10-15 minutes a game, he got about 3-5, and even then it wasn't very often. I really think the minutes should increase for him, especially if we want to be able to bring him back at the end of this year, which I hope we do.

I am a fan, He has a high A/T Ratio. Likes his team, blogswell, great gel guy. Seems to be pals with DG.

I like his solid backup game, he shoots well(most of the time), doesn't cough up the ball, and find open teamates with well times passes. I don't like him in matchups vs. quick and/or strong guards. (think Chauncy/Cassel for strong, and JJ Berea/Iverson for quick)

for low money he's a quality backup. If we could find 1 starter that could play 35 minuttes night in and night out for 82 games, I think he'd be a great backup. He'll have a good career, but unless he's on your team you won't know his name.

Glad he's on our team.

he deserves more minutes...i mean come on he is the all time leading scorer of Summer League after all...
Once they have that golden shining moment and it comes to them in a dream or whatever and they understand that, that's when this team and this franchise will go to another level from where it was when I was here.

I saw Dan Dickau but he wasn't as good of a shooter or point guard as Diener is.

Solid player in a limited role. I think he can become the Steve Kerr of our team. He can hit shots, handle the ball and make good decisions.

I am glad he is our role player.
