I like watching stuff like this to try and get a feel for a player's personality because you sometimes don't see that on the court. Like a lot of fans here in Indy and specifically basketball fans, we like the comfort of knowing that the players we support have the right sort of mentality. Dahntay seems like exactly the type of personality that Larry is building this team with. I'd like to call it "aggresively competitive" for lack of a better term. The question that one reporter asked Dahntay about his flagrant fouls in the playoffs last year was answered just the way I wanted to hear it answered. Can't remember exactly the wording that Dahntay used, but it was to the effect that he takes the betterment of his team very personally and will do whatever is needed to achieve that. Overall, I like what I heard. Some people may still be a little bitter about the way the contract situation has shaken down with Jarrett, and us signing Dahntay first, but the fact of the matter is that this is the player that we have now. While he may not do everything that Jarrett did, he brings his own skill set to the table and some of those skills are things that Jarrett didn't have.
Another interesting quote from the presser was Larry saying that "we re-signed Josh McRoberts". I have yet to see any news stories about it, but it's obviously a done deal, and I'm pretty happy about that. McBob is going to surprise some people this year.
