I'm thinking a deal somewhere close to 2 years for $3 million, possibly 3 years $4.5 million

Actually, "resigned" is the right way to spell it, but it is clearer to use the hyphen, so as to differentiate it from "resign", as in "quit."

Good for McBob! I really hope he gets some decent playing time this season.

Glad to hear this. McRoberts really has some nice tools to work with. If he continues to work hard, he really could be a good player for us.

Hope not.
I'd think a 2 year $2 million type deal is probably it, or a 1 year deal for the league minimum for a 2 year vet would probably be fitting.

I'm thinking Bird & Co. might be really putting their faith in McRoberts being a future piece that we plan on developing. They've been talking him up quite a bit, so I wouldn't be surprised if they gave him somewhat of a sweeter deal than expected.

I would. It would be dumb business to give him a sweet deal. We're basically bidding against ourselves. He is a restricted free agent, so no team wants to even bother trying to sign him to a contract only to have Indiana match. No one would offer him anything we wouldn't match, because he isn't worth much.

I liked what we saw from Josh last year. If he works at it he's enough of an athlete and skilled enough to play in the league for a while. Upside potential I think could be a slightly more skilled version of Chris Anderson. To get there somewhere along the line he will have to get playing time.
If his contract does go out more than two years, I think that tells us that if the effort is there the team will work to get him on the floor.

I think McBob would be worth 5 million per year to the Cavs if they didn't already have an overpaid energy player.
I hope we're not paying any more than 3 mil for 2 years.

Per Andrew, from Morway. But that's likely a formality.

I heard his agent e-mailed the AP saying terms were agreed upon. I'm glad he'll be back - I think he's got some potential.

McRoberts told Mike Wells that the deal is for 2 years, but did not disclose the $ figure, and says that he hasn't signed it yet but it is agreed upon.
