I just read on the Celtics board that you guys might be getting Scalabrine. There must be more players involved.

Hmmmm...hadn't heard anything on this.

Pretty surprised that we'd have any interest in Scalabrine, as he's pretty much a poor, poor man's Troy Murphy. Hopefully, there's different pieces involved if it's true.

The bums on the side of the street missing most of their teeth are deeply offended.

People do chant his name during the games, but I think that's more as a joke. Like the fans used to do to Darko in Detroit when they called him "the human victory cigar".

Scal is a guy who does what's asked of him.....a decent role player.

I would say Scalabrine would fit in just behind Murphy....

Foster
Hansbrough
& McRoberts

Yeah, he'd fit in just fine as a 5th option at the 4. The only reason he has had even the slightest measure of success in Boston is because they have a team good enough to make up for all of his deficiencies. Will I ever be a fan of him? Probably not. Will it be nice to have his $3.5 million come off the books after the season? Yes.

I guess he could bring "Championship experience" to the team.
There better be more pieces to the deal.

According to realgm's twitter Quisy is definitely going to Boston. All that's left to do is decide on the specifics of it

"Marquis Daniels going to Bos for 1.9 bi-annual or sign-and-trade."

I thought the topic said "Quis for Scola". I got very excited. And now I'm not.

I guess we could always use more white guys.

...

Too early?

First factor I thought of too. The story will take off nationally if we trade a very talented African-American player for a very un-talented WHITE WHITE player. Financial purposes or not, the masses will only see the obvious.

So we would have Foster, Hansbrough, McRoberts, Murphy, and Scal?

Wonder why I forgot Hibbert?

No, this would add salary to our payroll.

Free-agent guard Marquis Daniels(notes) has committed to sign with the Boston Celtics, a league source said Friday.

Daniels will receive the Celtics’ $1.9 million biannual salary-cap exception if the Indiana Pacers aren’t interested in a sign-and-trade deal. The 6-foot-6 Daniels averaged 13.6 points and 4.6 rebounds in 54 games with Indiana last season, his third with the team. Daniels previously played three seasons with the Mavericks.

Daniels, 28, will help improve the Celtics’ perimeter depth. Boston signed free-agent forward Rasheed Wallace(notes) last week and remains interested in keeping forward Glen Davis

Wonder if Philly would have any interest at all in Scalabrine as part of a package for Miller. Theyve been saying they need a couple of backup bigs.

You guys want to trade Brandon Rush (talented African-American) for Sean Marks (untalented Caucasian)...hell I mean if we're going there....damn Indy...I always so them as the "whitest team" in the NBA; even more so than the Jazz...but this is getting out of hand.....hahahaha

I can't imagine why we'd be taking Scalabrine, that's just adding salary for a guy who will never play. Maybe I do this if they give us a #1 pick as well, then we might be able to use that and him to make 2nd deal.

We S&T Dre miller %5.6 3 yrs send Scalabrine $3.4 mil, Jamaal $7.2mil and the pIc to the 76rs for Dre and Kopone $6.2. We take $11.8 million and send them $10.6 million. That's about $4 million more than we're paying JT and we get Miller and Kopono.

Then I want to move TJ Ford for an Expiring PF, but I am not sure who???
