Input Needed

Post#1 » by LA12 » Sat Jul 25, 2009 1:37 am

Hey guys. I am a huge NBA fan like most on realgm.com. I am also a big Portland Blazers fan. We have a poll running on our team board wondering what everyone thinks of how our team measures up. Most everybody has 'homer goggles' on to a certain degree so of course, it is difficult to ask such a question like this to fans of the team.

I was hoping that those with an outside perspective on our team, could take the time to take our poll and tell us how good or bad we are as it stands today.

Thanks for your time

I think you guys have a solid young team but I dont see the star power to take you to the next level. Brandon Roy is a star but as we saw in the playoffs he is the only one who can take over games.

If Pritchard would stop over valuing some of your young role players I think there are the necessary pieces to make you guys contenders but as of now (even with Miller) I put you guys in with a bunch of teams in the 2nd tier.

I think Andre Miller is a really good addition--a true pg who will distribute the ball to your scorers, and who can also get his own points when necessary. My guess is that he makes the Blazers a better team this year than a year ago.

As a Pacers fan I can only be jealous of all the young talent in Portland. If Oden stays healthy and even semi-lives up to the hype...look out. The Blazers would be right up there with anyone else in the West, with the possible exception of the Lakers.
