Jim Morris Conversation

My dad recently went on a trip to Evansville for a business trip and he flew down there with Jim Morris. Jim and him were talking about the Pacers and he told my dad a few things I got really excited about hearing. First, I guess a lot of people in the organization are really high on A.J. Price and thought he was a steal to get in the second round. Second, he said Bird LOVES Hansbrough (as if we all didn’t know that), but I guess what Larry really thinks is going to make Hansbrough a great player is that he plays harder than anyone he’s ever seen. Jim then asked Larry, “Even more than you?” and Larry responded “Yes.” That gets me really excited about Hansbrough and I really am glad that we picked him. All he has to do now is prove everyone wrong. But to sum it all up I thought it was really cool to hear all this great stuff Jim Morris was telling my dad. Hope it gets you guys more excited about the future as well. Go Pacers!

So did Jim close the sale? How many season tickets did your dad buy?

We've been season ticket holders since way back in the days of Market Square Arena. Good try though.

Myself and IndySports had seats up there last year and loved it. Won the Kia Motors Seat Upgrade TWICE in one season. I definitely want to get seats again this year, but a deal like they gave last year is about all I can afford. $300 for season tickets is a hell of a deal.

I've had tickets for years too. I had upper deck front row seats in MSA and in the first year at Conseco but then we moved to row 2 in 205 because the front row had glass that blocked my wife's view. after a few years of full season for me and half for her, we decided that I should just get one club seat with friends. that worked well for a few years until those friends moved into Legends. the last couple of years I've been in the Fed-Ex fan zone in section 20 above the walkway with some other friends but for next year we're moving down into section 19 below the walkway. with discounts my new lower bowl end corner seat is going to cost me less per game than what I was paying for upper deck corner seats ten years ago.

It's a bit of a long commute from Cleveland.

What sort of price break are you getting. I'd really like to get tickets again this year but right now it's looking like it's not gonna happen.

Even longer from Sydney

If I knew I was going to be in B-town for the long haul, I'd get a partial season ticket package. Alas, my life is in flux so who knows where I'll be in two months.

not sure if it was an early bird discount but I got better seats than last year for about a third less money. the prices they are showing on the website are higher than what I paid so if you had tickets before so you have a ticket representative, I'd give them a call and see what they can do. maybe for a renewal they might have some extra discounts they can give you.
as I said, I used to sit in the second row of 205 when those seats were $45 and you can get them now for $15. you wouldn't go wrong taking seats low in 205 or 206 or the equivalent in one of the other corners. and last year they had a promotion in one of those sections for even less so it can't hurt to set a budget and call your rep and see what they might have in your price range.
