Post your most memorable moment that you have witnessed live involving the Pacers.


Mine was during Reggie's Last year. Went to his final game in Los Angeles when I was finally able to afford a Laker ticket. Just being there was cool. I truly enjoyed the ambiance. The Pacers were down by double digits and made a strong comeback in the fourth. I love how you can sense the worry in the arena when the opposing team is coming back. Stephan Jackson missed the game tying 3, and the Lakers went on to win. I've been to games in Sacramento and Golden State since...because they are the only arena's near me. The Laker/Pacer game remains my favorite because the arena was packed (unlike dead ass Sacramento) and I got to see Reggie.


Btw, also was at the Golden State Game last year. The crowd would not stop booing Dunleavy. Random drunk people were being complete dicks, it was awesome. Dunleavy went on to force a ridiculous 3 ball near the end. Granger hit a big three to bring Pacers within 3....then Diener missed a WIDE OPEN 3 pointer at the buzzer.

I have two, my first one is hard for me to really remember I may have been 8. It was when Reggie had broken his eyesocket and was out for like 20 games or something, and then he came back against the Hawks and had a big game. The second one was last year when Murphy had his tip in at the buzzer to beat the Lakers.

I've only seen them live twice, and the first one was right after the brawl, against the Clippers, and the second was against the Lakers, and they lost that one, too, but I got Jermaine O'Neal's wristband after the game.

Yeah I remember that. It was in 97 playoffs I reckon against the Hawks. He was wearing those goofy goggles. Pacers lost that in 5 I think. Reggie missed a big shot that series.

I was at a pacer piston game a year or two ago and M.Daniels was wearing those yellow things on his legs. They are NOT socks, because they didn't even go all the way down to the ankles. Anyway he wasn't having a good game and some guys were yelling to put yellow socks back in the game. I kept yelling back that they weren't socks, they were shin guards, but no one was listening to me. It was a fun diversion because it kept my mind off the score (we lost by a lot).

Tickets are very reasonably priced, which is why I can't stand when I see empty seats. You can get upper level tickets (anyone who's ever been inside Conseco will tell you there really isn't a bad seat) for $10 each. The Pacers constantly run ticket specials, a lot of times selling Club Level seats for about half price.

If by 'live' you mean, in person:

My most memorable moment was definitely the Murphy tip in versus the Lakers. I was one of two lucky fans to be the Kia Motors power to surprise seat upgrade for the game. They upgraded me from balcony seats to court side seats.
It was great walking along the court to go to the Locker room restaurant and bar for beers as the players were running up and down the court less than 2 feet away. To make being upgraded even better, it was the Laker game (much better game to be upgraded than vs. a team like the thunder). To top it off, the seats were at the end of the court where Murphy tipped the ball in, so it was right there!!!

The end of Reggie's last playoff game against the Pistons. When Larry Brown called an extra timeout to allow the ovation to go on for longer and encouraged his team to get off the bench and cheer. Most amazing thing I've ever seen in Sport and it had nothing to do with the actual game itself.

second maybe Reggie's shot to beat the Bulls in the playoffs.

a moment with my then six now forty-two year old daughter when she could read the scoreboard for the first time at the end of a game and blurted out "this isn't boring. this is fun." which told me that the obvious fun she'd been having before was not from the game but from the experience of doing something together.

driving to IU fieldhouse to see ABA playoff games. Roger Brown ate up Rick Barry and the Pacers beat the Nets.

more recently the game that ended with Granger getting last second free throws to beat the Cavs after Lebron had seemingly beaten us at the line a split second earlier.

Since I've only been to a handful of live pacers games I'd have to say that my most memorable moment was during a game verses the Pistons. We were playing the pistons at home and Stephen Jackson shot a half court desperation three pointer with 5 or 7 seconds left in the half. Missed everything. I remember it because it seemed like 1 possession could have mattered. Also JO played like crap, and David Harrison looked huge on the court and had a pretty good game overall. I bought my first DG33 Jersey that night too.

The Palace of Auburn Hills hands down. Also the sadest memories.

That's awesome. Whenever I look at the replay of that tip in I always watch courtside fan reactions...maybe I saw you! hah. Perfect game to win upgraded seats.

Against the Knicks, Spike Lee, choke sign!

I saw the historic shot Reggie made over MJ in the playoffs at MSA.

I saw Reggie's long distance shot against New Jersey in the playoffs

I saw MJ's first game back from retirement (which was against the Pacers).

I saw the Pacers 6 beat the Celtics after the brawl. I was close enough to yell at Paul Pierce and asked how it felt to get beat by our JV team. He later said on Sportscenter that it was the worst loss in Celtics history. I can't help but think he was answering my question.
