Granger had a pretty normal outing for him (11 FT's, 27 points) but was a bit sloppy with the ball. TJ Ford had one of his "off" games, with more TO's than points and even less assists. I saw a portion of the game even though I'm in Boston, and Head looked impressive. McBob did some good things, Hibbert didn't miss, but his foul trouble's still around. Head was a welcome sparkplug. He did a little bit of everything and ended with 14 points. Rush had an interesting stat line. He had 13 points, and was 50% from everywhere. 5-10 FGs, 1-2 FTs, 2-4 3PTs. He also swatted two shots. Beware of AFROTOP.
All in all it looks we could've used Murph out there just so we could've gotten more than 38 boards. It looked like everyone got a board or two.

Re: Preseason game 1: Start paying attention
McBob's dunk was cause for commotion. The whole crowd in Conseco seemed to jump out of their seats when he threw that down.
T.J. Ford, 3 assists and 7 turnovers. Early into the 3rd quarter, he brought the ball up court with Dahntay Jones ahead of him out on the wing. Ford proceeded to look at Jones and pass the ball to Dahntay's back. I guess someone told T.J. that our new acquisitions came equipped with eyes in the back of their head. looked like he was in mid-season form last night...
A.J. Price looked like complete garbage. 0-7 shooting, and did nothing really that a PG is supposed to do.
Solomon Jones looked fairly impressive, but needs to hit the boards a little harder. His lack of rebounds may be attributed to the fact that he tries to block any and every shot that comes near him, so he's going to find himself out of position on the rebound opportunities a lot.
Danny looked like Danny. 27 points in 25 minutes, but again too many turnovers.
Rush looked to be carrying over his confidence from last season, and looked pretty good on defense too.
Dahntay Jones jumper looked better than advertised. He was very pesky on defense, which was fun to watch for the short amount of time that he played. Not sure if he got injured or what, but I noticed one of the trainers walking him back to the locker room.
Rod Benson looked like he needs to get back to his blog and leave professional hoops to... professionals.
McBob started out on a tear, with 3 assists and 5 rebounds in the first half then leveled off in the 2nd half. Still looked fairly promising.
Luther looked to be just what he was for Houston his first year in the league, a spark off the bench who can fill the bucket if needed. He also played some really solid defense.
Hibbert didn't make too much of an impression on me last night. I still think he's going to show a lot of improvement this season but last night it just wasn't happening. Not a bad night, just sorta quiet.

Hibbert was really horrendous in terms of +/-. He was minus double-digits.

Bulls fans have gone crazy with Taj Gibson hype. Ladies and Gentleman, we have found the next Anthony Randolph.

Anthony Randolph actually fair pretty well when he got some minutes down the stretch, comparing him to Gibson is probably higher praise then the people you are mocking.

Yah, I agree. Randolph is legit. Gibson is likely an aberration.
