Petition to trade TJ Ford

Post#1 » by Reginald Wayne » Thu Nov 19, 2009 2:52 am

He's terrible.

I didn't like him last year and he is even worse this year. Why would you drive into the lane, jump with no prospect of doing anything good, and throw the ball to a random spot? He does that crap 10 times a game.

My brother asked, "What does TJ Ford do that is good?" I couldn't answer because he really doesn't do much.

Trade him for Rick Brunson or ****.

Sign me up too. You can't make those kind of mistakes. Don't know how much value he has tho. Orlando might want him.

There's really not much point in trading him at the moment, his value is at an all time low.

I'd take Anthony Johnson back at this point. Give em Ford

is this a case of TJ not being in the right offense system for his type of game you think?
I do like him, but must be honest that he has disappointed me so far this season. I was hoping for more, although I still think he can be a good player for us this season.

Honestly, I don't know if it is the system. I never watched or analyzed his games in Toronto or Milwaukee. All I know is that he is not good on our team, which is all I care about.

Sign me up, too.

But the thing is, you can't blame TJ for losing games. That's solely on O'Brien. TJ continues to turn it over and O'Brien does nothing to punish him. He doesn't pull him out and sit him on the bench to let him know that his play is unacceptable. No. He just takes a knee on the sideline, hand under his chin, and watches the lead go down the drain, completely oblivious to the momentum slipping away. What message does that send?

Last year, it took Jarrett Jack getting in TJ's face for O'Brien to finally stick TJ on the bench.

If TJ gets traded, package JOB with him as well.

Awesome.

O'Brien does need to toughen up on his players. He is way to nice to these guys. Perhaps Granger needs to step up as the leader and get in his teammates' face.

TJ did not manage the 4th well. He isn't very good right now.

I don't know what is up with TJ Ford but I'm wishing for a trade for Christmas. I'm signing on.

TJ Ford. Mo Williams eventually outplayed him in Milwaukee. Calderon outplayed him in Toronto. Last year, Jarret Jack outplayed him.

Watson is starting to do that.

I have, for a while, wanted to start Watson. Just to give our 2nd unit a fast offensive punch in Ford.

I'd honestly rather have Jamaal Tinsley. Ford is turrible.

I putting my name on the petition in capital letters. I dont like him when he is playing good. Last night when he was throwing his little temper tantrum bc Dahntay wouldnt pass him the ball was about the last straw. Jones was just doing what TJ does every possesion. I dont now why JOB sticks behind TJ so much. The offense is based on ball reversal how is that supposed to work when the PG is a black hole. He's bascically a less effective version of Iverson. Ridiculous........

Until last night I never dogged TJ since his arrival here. Last night this guy single-handedly destroyed an easy victory because of exactly what Granger Da OG said, he was a black-hole. He thinks we pay him to pound the rock, what a queef.

I loved TJ for the first 20 or so games last season. Since then he seemed to have a lot of games like last night vs. only a couple where he was the 'Pacesetter' that led to a win.

I would have loved to rid ourselves of Ford in the offseason and found a way to keep Jack....but there were two problems in the way of make that happen....Larry Bird seems to LOVE O'brien and O'brien seems to LOVE Ford; therefore I think we are stuck with Ford until Obie is gone.

We average 100.3/game our "pg" averages 2.7/ast/game. Whats wrong with this picture. Its not like he's a shut down defender. AJ Price would at least move the ball.

Found the perfect trade Ford for E.Thomas. Dun comes back and runs a little point foward and we are good to go.

So you want to rely on a guy who has not even returned after having what docs said could have been a career ending surgery if all didn't go well?

Sidenote: His career average assist to turnover ratio is 2.7 to 1.72....
