Granger was set to return Sunday to Indiana on a charter flight back from the team's west coast road trip when he had to be removed from the team plane. According to sources, Granger had unbearable pain in his foot and had to be taken off the airplane via wheelchair.

Pending the MRI, any educated guesses on how much time he will miss?

This is not really BAD news. Just think if Granger is out for a month or two. We go on a big losing streak and drop to the bottom of league. Then draft Derrick Favors. I kno it sounds crazy but that's what happened with San Antonio

Our need at PG is MUCH HIGHER than our need for another PF. John Wall would have to be the target if we get a top pick.

Without question. I said Favors 1) because I don't like Murph's game and 2) because I think if we do get a top pick that is not #1 then Favors is the best option

I see the nets, twolves and pacers possibly being 3 worst teams when season is over....

Lets say Nets get #1 pick, devin harris becomes moveable...

Lets say wolves get #1 pick Flynn/Rubio/Sessions becomes moveable

Pacers could swing a deal if they don't get Wall for a PG me thinks.

I'd love to have Harris. My main thing would be financially it would be much better for us to get Wall because he wouldn't have a huge salary to start and we would have that money to sign a free agent. Same goes with Flynn still being on his rookie salary, but I'd prefer Wall.

Hey, Paul Pierce had to be carried off by his teammates in the finals a couple years ago...then he ran back in and balled it up!


No, but...Granger should have been sitting anyway. We have lost 9 of 10 and the one we won was without him. Get to 100% first and defend against a more major injury, I think.

I also say we draft a PG. Murph will be gone soon and so will that ridiculous contract.

Pacers are also 14-8 without him in the lineup...according to the link

If the Pacers end up with a lottery pick they need to trade up to get Wall. Package their 1st rounder and a young guy like Price, Rush, McRoberts, whoever. Maybe switch 2nd rounders or just give the 2nd rounder away. With the cap space we will have after that, we can afford to only have one pick in that draft. Then you have base starting 5 of Wall, Granger, a FA, Hibbert, maybe Hansbrough or another FA. Plus you get Wall cheap. Wall is the real deal. He will be a superstar in the NBA, better than Rose, Wade-esque dare I say.

You think it's really easy to trade up and that a team would take our pick plus Price, Rush, or McRoberts for the first pick? If the Pacers offered that to whomever has the first pick they would laugh in our face. We would have to give them something of value as opposed to guys that have ridden our bench all year long. And there would have to be someone who they could get with our pick who could help them.

Back to the original subject, I was really hoping Granger would sit longer when he sat out the one game.

Yeah, there is no way a team is going to give up Wall for a 6-10th pick in the draft and some young players that can't even produce on a team like the Pacers.

The Pacers best chance at instant success is if they get a top 10 pick and luck into the next Brandon Jennings type, Granger/Dunleavy are healthy next year and Hibbert is allowed to develop in to a solid post guy who consistently can get 12-15ppg and 10 rebs with 2 blocks.

While the Pacers are talented enough to wiggle their way into an 8th seed in the pathetic East, that wouldn't help them long term. They would just get destroyed by the cavs or Magic or celts and lose out on a top notch prospect.

According to Pacer's website, looks like Danny will miss 4-6 weeks
