You signed a player with no knees.

Good for Jon. I suppose you could do worse for your third string center.

Good for Bender. He deserves this in my opinion. He seems like a good person off the court. Congrats to him.

It would be great to see the guy do something what a story it would be, but I can't see him running up and down the court on those knees. Now If he's had some kind of miracle surgery or something that put the cartilage back in his knees that's great. Could be Donnie Walsh just loves the kid.

You're probably right but you never know. Here's a post with links showing Bender in action recently I believe (just incase anyone is bored). :D

I wish him the best of luck. Good to see Donnie keeping faith in him. Hopefully he can manage to get some form of PT there in NY.

Had a good game tonight 9 points and 1 block and I think like 3rebounds in 14 minutes with some good d.

not bad.

Thank you! I was looking for highlights earlier but couldn't find any with Bender. I'm really glad to see him back in the league. I hope he does well, even though it is with the Knicks.

The kid was as athletically gifted as they come, like Dwight Howard athletic. If he could've continued to put on muscle and his knees not given out on him. I still think he would've been a force in the league. Hell Howard has NO jumpshot to speak of and he's arguably the best big man in the NBA because of his muscle and athleticism.

Pretty impressive stuff. Nice to see he still has quite a bit of leap left in him. I must say, I was pretty concerned when he hit the deck after that first bucket though.

Bender's 2nd game he played 15 minutes I think and finished with 11 points on 3 of 3 from downtown.

Hes been a really nice spark plug thus far, he's fun to watch.
