Our current record

So it hasn't exactly been the greatest of starts to the season. There's a number of notable problems that have arisen so far, and overall we haven't looked as sharp as previous seasons.
With the current roster however, are we far off what was expected of us this year? Granted we're the 5th worst team in the league currently which is far from great, but should our expectation be much higher?
What are your thoughts guys?

I think this season is pretty much lost. We have little hope of making the playoffs, Danny is out for 3 or 4 more weeks. I'd use the next 40-50 games to develop the youngsters and I'd be looking for a trade or 2 to chop some salary and get under the tax level next season. Let's do that Murphy to the Cavs deal, I like Murph but economics is over ruling personality right now.
If we can find a taker for TJ and Foster I'd trade them too. I'm thinking Portland and Houston might need a big, but I have no clue on what to do with TJ.

Better yet make the Cavs deal a 3 way trade. I've seen this before but not exactly like this:
Pacers trade Muruph to the Cavs for Big Z, a #1 pick, and $3 mill, then send Big Z and TJ to the Knicks for Curry, Jeffries, Nate and Chandler plus $3 million. Then use the cash to buy out Curry after the season if he can't be traded.

At this same point last season we were 10-19, so we're only 1 game worse than we were through 29 games to start last season. The major difference being that we were more competitive in most of those losses last season.

Warspite said he thinks the Pacers can make the playoffs.
I wouldn't say it's lost yet. Talk to me after the all-star break.
And I always take comfort in the fact that we're not Chicago or the Nets (who have 2 all-star talents).

#$%^ it, Chicago beat us.
I think Tyler would've made up those 11 points.

Well, technically 9 of them so we'd still lose by 2.
