VS
At the illustrious...
Starting Lineups
*Subject to change because Obie still hasn't settled on his starting unit.

-

Devin Harris, all-star, will be a load for Earl Watson with his speed. The Pacers need to help Earl out and rotate, which is something they haven't done effectively against opponents in the first half of games, digging themselves 20+ point deficits. On the road, the Pacers cannot afford to go down 20 points against a team desperate for a win, no matter what their record is. And it all starts at the point of attack. Earl Watson has been playing well in the starter's role.

-

Luther Head is shooting better than his career average from the field, but only 28% from deep. Courtney Lee shoots less than 40% from the field, but injuries and poor overall team play have contributed to this sophomore slump. Lee is still a dangerous force, and Head and the other shooting guards need to recognize this.

-

Danny Granger is coming off of a strong 4th quarter performance against the Phoenix Suns, and looks to continue his roll after coming back from foot injury. Chris Douglas-Roberts has been a bright spot in a very dark Nets season.

-

Troy Murphy collected a double-double against the Nets last meeting. He didn't shoot well in Phoenix. He has a definite rebounding edge against Yi, but Yi Jianlian's offense has come to life this season, and the Chairman is putting up impressive numbers. He will be a handful on defense for Troy Murphy.

-

Roy Hibbert has gone toe-to-toe against Lopez before and the matchup was pretty even. Although Brook accumulated more points, he was less efficient than Roy from the floor. This time, with the weapons coming together for the Pacers, hopefully Roy will have more chances to go one-on-one against Lopez in the post.

The second unit is going to be a huge factor in this game. New Jersey doesn't lack bodies, but it lacks viable bench offense. With Mike Dunleavy in the second unit, the Pacers have a great chance to outscore the Nets in bench points. AJ Price looks to continue his pleasantly surprising play, and

I'm 40% sure that the Nets are tanking. Hibbert vs. Lopez is the matchup to watch, and the speedy Harris. There's actually a few Nets players I want to see do well, but this game should swing our way if our bench can outperform theirs.

haha nice thread.
Pacers currently hold the leagues longest active road losing streak of 9. Hopefully they can end that tonight.

I have League Pass and so I don't often get the Pacers announcers. I liked the Phoenix announcers and these Nets guys aren't slouchers. Toronto's were bad.

I have the Nets feed because I live in NY and i have YES. I don't like Ian Eagle at all.
I liked the way Pacers ran the court with AJ Price in the game. But they must stay out of foul trouble. Already over the limit with 9min to go in the 2nd..... jeez. lol
Could be a long night if they keep that up. Free points will haunt them.

This is a joke. The Pacers are a scoring machine, as the YES announcers said.
Granger 22 point first half.
20 point half-time league.

And I know it's just the Nets, but Brandon Rush looks great tonight IMO.

What's up with Obie's toe? YES dudes didn't know what's going on. Hope it wasn't a strip club accident...
It may just be the Nets, but it feels good seeing the Pacers destroy somebody. Hopefully we keep it up, because if we can come back from 24, anybody can.

Brandon Rush has 15 points right now and has not missed from anywhere. Three's, free throws, he's doing it all.

Not so sure about that. This Nets team may be the worst in the league history. If you think about their rosters, horrible depth, empty arena, unstable ownership situation.... it's all just a bad mix. But the Pacers are absolutely destroying the Nets.
I thought the Nets came out playing well. But as the Nets announcers said, they can't handle any type of speed. Once Price came in like 8 minutes into the 1st quarter, we went on a 8-0 or something run and i think they realized speed kills the Nets, and they just kept running at them in the second quarter and the score became really lopsided.

YES says Luther Head will not return.
I don't have the IND feed, but i would have to think it's more of a precaution type thing, since they are up 20, why put Head back in, so they shut him down for the rest of the night. After his injury, he did return for a few minutes.

Head came in for a little while to test out the ankle, but the prudent thing would be to let him rest. We have a lead anyways, and Rush is getting those minutes. Win-win-win!
