Still a no honestly.

Rip's just too much older than the rest of this core, and he's owed too much money for too long for a guy that has never been more than a good team defender, and never been a good rebounder or passer.

It's worth more to us to just play and try and develop Brandon Rush. But yeah, essentially all we'd probably offer is TJ Ford. Straight up. And I know that sucks.

I've always liked Rip's game, but he's owed around 37.5m follwing this season. Considering he's already 31 and we're no where near a contending team with or without him, it's just a waste of cap and money at this point.

Keep Rip Hamilton and his illegal foreign objects (those lethal finger nails of his) in Detroit. I want him nowhere near our roster.

Just doesn't make sense for us. We don't have the pieces, and he doesn't fit with the overall picture.
