Apologies if someone is scheduled to do this (I checked on the game thread and it said no one).
Some of you may not have heard that AJ Price will start for us and TJ Ford is back in the rotation becuase Earl is away for the next 2 games attending a funeral).
Interesting read at pacers.com
http://my.nba.com/cms/Indiana%20Pacers% ... 0The%20WebThis is beneficial in 2 ways.
Gives AJ a chance for extended time and to show us what he can really do as well as grow from the experiance.
Since we are shopping TJ before the deadline, if he plays well, which he should be motivated to, then it is a good advertisement to other teams.
Only trouble is Rodney Stuckey is 6'5 and over 200 pounds, our 2 point guards probably don't get over 200 when combined together

.
Oh and Obie is back

I have a really good feeling about this game tonight. With AJ starting and TJ backing up theyre both bound to perform well as they wont get many more chances to log the minutes they will tonight. Boo hoo obies back but at least hes startin big roy and not playin small ball. And finally its the pistons, a team we actually match up well against (cant say that too often can we)

Ford is trying really hard to validate himself. Good.

No hate, just truth. This new PG duo needs to be permanent.

Hibbie needs all the double doubles he can get. Great confidence booster. Where the hell was brandon rushs game for the first half of the season? Kids playin really well these days. More consistantcy from both players would = playoffs for pacers i reckon

What we have had in our recent wins is balanced scoring. This time we had, what, 6 players in double figures?

The limitiing factor is Obie.
His "small ball" is stupid, total nonsense, and it's killing Danny playing against bigger players every night.
You have to be a real idiot not to have Roy on the court for as many minutes as possible, and to think Murphy is a center. You need a traditional lineup when everyone is healthy--Hibbert/Foster/Solo at the five, Murphy/Hansborough/McBob at the four, Danny/Dunleavy/DJones at the three, Rush/Dunleavy/Head at the two, and Watson/Price/TJ at the one.
Chances are Murph isn't going anywhere this year unless we can get another PF in return, with TH and Foster not available. I think we should see more minutes from McBob there. The kid is just too crazy athletic not to at least get a shot.
Things seem to finally have shaken themselves out; Roy is playing decently and improving at the five, Murph is OK at the four (though if he was healthy I'd be playing Psycho-T there) Danny is a three--period! Rush is our present and our future at the two, and between Watson, Price, and TJ we have a decent corps at PG.
Minus all the jockeying around--to be fair to Obie some of it because of injuries--this could have been a decent season if we'd gone with a traditional lineup from the get-go and taken our learning time lumps.
