Finished with 12 points 6-7 shooting, one foul in 11 minutes against Bogut and the Bucks. Am I missing something here?

Yeah. The theory is that Hibbert can't shoot threes, therefore has no place in Obie's motion-leads-to-no-penetration-and-ends-up-being-a-chucking-contest offense.

I kept saying the same thing to HookShotHibbert while we were at the game last night. The guy was scoring at will the ENTIRE time he was in the game (all 11 minutes), yet O'Brien started Murphy at C, and was even playing Solomon Jones over Roy.

Moral of the story, O'Brien is a complete and utter failure as a coach and as a person with any common sense.

The Pacers have lost me as a fan until Obie is gone. I COULD COACH A BETTER GAME THAN OBIE. I do not care who replaces Obie...it could be a pro coach or it could be the guy coaching at the YMCA. I do not care. What I do care about it is Obie being replaced. Not only are we terrible with Obie but it is not a brand of basketball that I will watch nor support.

I just can't think of any reasoning. I mean unless Roy was late to practice or missed a meeting, there's no reason for it. I mean this isn't Andre Bargnani or some mobile center that will Roy trouble, it's Bogut whose a traditional center.

Illyasova was coming off the bench for bogut. hibbert was having a hard time gaurding against the 3. i think this may have been the issue

He definitely had troubles guarding Illyasova at the perimeter. But the one to blame there is Obie and only Obie. I don't understand why he benched Roy and only brought him in when Bogut left the floor. There is no logic behind that.

To me, this is basic coaching. If you have a traditional center scoring at will but having trouble guarding the perimeter, you play something called a zone defense. Unless they put 5 guys on the arc, your center doesn't have to guard the perimeter. And since Obie's the only one dumb enough to put 5 guys on the arc, we don't have to worry about this.

You also have to consider that even if Roy can't guard llyasova, llyasova can't guard Roy either.

This season has regressed to the place that about the only long term positive available for O'Brien exploit is the development of young players. Roy one of those young players has had his ass handed to him by Bogut the last two times. Wouldn't it make more sense to have Roy work as much against Bogut during ther rest of a lost season as he can? Maybe next year Roy would play Bogut tougher as a result. The lack of logic being applied to this situation is mind boggling.

Same goes for AJ Price. Let him play for a month and when its over say "we saw what we wanted he can play." And now he's getting no run at all? The only logical reason for TJ to be back on the floor is to try and demonstrate to the rest of the league that he can still play and possibly enhancing the ability to move him over the summer for something of value. I get that but I also think developing AJ should be a higher priority. Maybe that means Earl sits.

I've got to wonder at what point the plug on this season is truly pulled and it gets totally dedicated to young player development? You tell the vets to deal with it. It clearly hasn't happened yet and I can't help but think an opportunity is being wasted.

Hibbert had the best +/- out of our team tonight, in only 19 minutes he gathered double-digit points and 7 boards.

Is there such a phrase as tanking legitimately? Usually when a team tanks, you see it, and it ends in double digits losses constantly. But in tanking legit, you actually fall down in the closing seconds, think how the Pacers played last season, only more losses then wins then vice versa.

Just more proof O'Brien has no business coaching this team.
