Best Stadium In MLB Contest! (NL Central)

Post#1 » by SportsWorld » Sun Apr 15, 2007 4:59 pm

I've decided to do a poll of each teams stadium and REALGM gets to decide which team has the coolest stadium in the MLB!

The tournament will work like a playoff system, each poll running for two days. The winner of each group will go to an AL or a NL final.

Who Won our First Round So Far?:
AL Central-Jacobs Field
AL East- Fenway Park (11-10 in vote off vs Camden Yards)
AL West- Safeco Park
NL East- Citizens Bank Park

Miller Park:

Minute Maid Park

PNC Park

Busch Stadium

Wrigley Field

This has to be the toughest one yet.
My Rankings:
1. Wrigley Field
2. PNC Park
3. Miller Park
4. Minute Maid Park
5. Busch Stadium
6. Great American Ball Park

I'm voting for Busch, because I firmly believe that the best ballpark in baseball is the one that has the Cardinals in it the most often.

OK, if you go strictly on aesthetics you might want to pick Pittsburgh (the most photogenic stadium there is) or that cute ivy-covered outfield wall in Chicago.

But come on now, you can't POSSIBLY rank Minute Maid Amusement Park higher than Busch. That stadium is a joke. You can hit home runs to left field that are ordinary pop-ups in a real ballpark, and there is an effing hill with an effing flagpole on it in center. Worst ballpark in the National League, and nothing else even comes close to being as bad for playing baseball in.

Miller Park wins. Wrigley Field is only thought of as a good stadium because of it's history, it's not very good looks wise. Miller Park FTW. Most fan friendly ball park in the majors.
