This is pretty terrible. I think the best move would be to switch Kiwi back to DE, but with him finally getting the hang of the linebacker position I think the coaching staff will be reluctant to do that. Maybe we can bring someone in via trade (we have tradable assets at RB, WR, LB and CB).

Moving Kiwanuka back to DE is the best bet. There are a lot better linebackers available to sign than DE's. Kiwanuka did a good job 2 years ago when Strahan went down.
