**** you bill sheridan. sure the zebras hurt us with the PI call on webster and the "hold" on O'hara, but what killed us was that we didn't bring pressure even once and played soft zone coverage all game. If you give brees time he'll pick any zone apart and that's just what he did. I know that with boley and ross out we didn't have enough good cover guys to stop everyone, but at least put our good players in a position to do what makes them good.

Bill Sheridan's defensive play calling cost us this game. Common sense Zone Coverage was not working in the 1st quarter. Should have been changed it man to man. The receivers were running freely through the Zone coverage, and they stuck to a 4 man rush. It also does not help that CC Brown jumped on every play fake. There was a reason why he had 13 tackles.

Maybe Giants should bring back Will Demps, he is probably looking for work. He can definitely do a better job than CC Brown.

They really have to think about trying Aaron Rouse instead of C.C. (Can't Cover) Brown. Besides the hard hits he really did not do anything else. Way too many dropped passes and turnovers. Ahmad Bradshaw got way too greedy trying to get 2 or 3 more yards and turned the ball over. Mario Manningham had a gift to him and he dropped an easy TD pass. Also Tom Coughlin being way too conservative, 95 % of the coaches in the league 4th and 1 on the opponents 2 would have went for it.

Bill Sheridan has destroyed this defense, he should be fired at the end of this season, and bring back Spagnuolo once the Rams fire him after a 0-16 or 1-15 season.

This season went down the drain in a hurry.

Ack, so much for our highest-paid-player in the game. As I worried about before the season began, I thought 9 and 7 was as good as we could expect. The schedule doesn't get any easier. Our inexperienced receivers may finally be catching up to us. When teams properly key in on stopping our run, we'll have issues. Against the bad teams, we looked like a dream. But damn, our defense is looking putrid. The injuries there are only part of the problem. Unless we improve the communication, we'll continue to struggle...

1 and 15 now! But yes, bring him back... =(

Sheridan is just not synching with this defensive unit. They are not getting to the Quarterback, and a weak secondary is being exposed. Not only that we have some of the slowests linebackers out there without Boley in the lineup. Danny Clark and Antonio Pierce can't even keep up guarding tight ends or fullbacks. Two runs of 40yrds or more, last year that was impossible. Giants strength was knocking down the quarterback getting sacks and forcing the QB into bad throws.

I agree, Rouse should get a shot at playing time because brown is trash. I have always hated Gilbride's play calling so predictable and does not know how to mix things up. I agree with Sheridan not cranking it up enough, and not being in synch with the defense. I do think that when Boley comes back and Canty (when he does) we will be better have a player 6'6 with a 7'1 wing span in the middle will frustrate qb's since he will be blocking the throwing lanes.

As per Wiretap...

Eli Making Blind Throws
5th November, 2009 - 11:02 am
New York Post - Trent Green analyzed Eli Manning's three-game slide on the NFL Network recently and, using video as evidence, suggested that the Giants quarterback's mechanics are not what they once were.

Green said Manning has been adversely affected by pressure in the pocket, leading to poor footwork, a flattening of his shoulders along the line of scrimmage and vision that "sometimes gets locked in," causing "some blind throws."

"I think my mechanics are fine," Manning said Wednesday. "It is something you work on constantly throughout the season. You can get off a little bit. You can see something from week to week that you want to fix or work on. I think for the most part I am throwing the ball pretty accurately. There are always a couple of throws you want to have back."

Depending how healthy Canty is will determine the pass Rush. His job in Dallas was to create holes for DeMarcus Ware. He is a big body 6'7 305pds. I also think they should bench Kevin Dockery because he is just as bad as C.C. Brown. They need bring back Bruce Johnson at Nickle Coverage, he was on receivers at least.

WTF Coughsh*t are you thinking. 3rd and Goal, 8 yrds from the goaline and you run it?!?!?!?

Also how did Lawrence Tynes missed the field goal in the 1st quarter, looked like Feagles planted it perfectly.

What difference would it make if he completes or not take a shot with Boss.

Bad enough this team had over 10 penalties. No discipline anymore holding on 1st down on the red zone 4 yrds away from the goaline by Chris Snee.

Oh man, what a tough game to lose. I thought we had it there for a sec. Some kooky gamecalling there, yes. And Tynes always makes me nervous, I don't know why. Time to lick or wounds and regroup...

After watching that replay over and over I am still clueless on to why Tynes did not kick the ball in the 1st quarter, was it a failed fake?

It took Gilbride 4 days to realize that he shoulda passed it once from that 1 and Goal 14 from the goal line. This guy is a joke, he is the main reason why the offense struggles, way too conservative, and he does not mix anything up. They should really just let Eli go no huddle.

Depending on how well Ross is he should start if healthy. He is our bess secondary guy for press coverage. Oh man will the announcers have a hard time with Aaron Ross and Aaron Rouse.

I guess we had a good weekend, without even playing a single down. Losses by the 'Girls and Iggles tightened things up. Still a TOUGH matchup with Atlanta though...
