Very thin at CB.. guys.. are we in trouble.?

We were in trouble before Thomas got hurt. Steve Smith leaves us for the bitter rival, Osi is being a little girl, Prince is out for a while, Bruce Johnson out for the year with ruptured Achilles, and now Thomas out for the year? What a nightmare and it could continue.

Absolutely the worst possible news we could get tonight. The one guy that we could least afford to lose. We have no depth at cb and to lose our #1 guy who means so much to our defense in a preseason game is awful. Aaron Ross becomes huge now again and we need Prince to come back quicker then expected. Awful night for the Giants.

Aaron Ross did show signs of his 2007 and 2008 self this pre-season. But it's too early to tell, Ross is a better bump and run cover corner than Terrell Thomas. But Terrell Thomas did soo much more for this team with his play making ability. The only good with this is that you know Aaron Ross will work his butt off. He is on his contract year and didn't do too much the last 2 years but get injured.

The Giants will most likely sign Lito Sheppard or Randall Gay for the veteran's minimumn and have them play the nickle back until Prince can get healthy. Lito Sheppard would be my choice, playing with the Eagles for 7 years, he knows Andy Reid's offense. Although I do remember Lito Sheppard getting burned by Plax all those years.
