Ward did a nice job yesterday filling in for him.Hes probably going to be the starter now

But whatever happened to Droughns? Is he injured also?

Oh well.

I think the coaching staff felt Ward was the better number two behind Jacobs, so Droughns was demoted on the depth chart. He'll obviously be more active and get more touches now. Ward didn't seem to have good instincts yesterday. Hopefully, with more touches, he improves. It might go from bad to worse, depending on the news on Eli and Osi...

I thought Ward had very good vision. He broke the one big run but before that he was hitting the hole fast and made his cuts. I like him alot. I think he got winded at the end though. He needs to learn to pace himself and Coughlin needs to help him with that by bringing in Droughns. The offense will be fine though as long as they dont get one dimensional. After that it is the D that needs to step up and step up big if the team makes it anywhere.
