Whoa, what a GREAT game by the G-MEN!!!

Post#1 » by blueNorange » Sun Sep 23, 2007 11:32 pm

I must admit, I didn't make a gamethread because I thought to myself why should I bother if they're gonna lose. Watching the first half I was proving myself right but then the 2nd half it was like a whole new team came out. Ward ... woo, I like Jacobs but this kid Ward looks good out there.

The Giants played DEFENSE, yes ... I know ... defense, it sounds shocking but they reall did. Maybe the new defensive coordinator's plan takes a while to master, because every single Giants played a hell of a ball game on defense. Kiwi looked good, Pierce looked good, Osi looked good, Butler looked good, Mitchell looked good, Strahan looked good, and Tuck looked great. BTW, I think Tuck has Superstar written all over him, he's all over the place and he was part of the play that ended the game in the Giants win

The offense is great, perhaps one of the best. It was the defense that was the problem. If the Giants can play defense like the 2nd half for the rest of the season then they'll be 10-8 :)

GOOD GAME JINTS!!!
LOL Y U MAD THO?

what a game. Burress finally came alive in the 2nd half. The defense played great. Ward impressed me. Justin Tuck played great. I hope they keep playing like they did in the 2nd half for the rest of the year

I mean it was a good game but to say mitchell played good is a joke. Re watch the game, the guy gets burnt EVERYTIME in coverage, he made 1 tackle and he barely missed him on the goal line. This guy is a bum, once hes off the field we will be alot better

a dead body, he's too slow to play lb, he gets beat in coverage by TE's, easily gets beaten by wr's wen they come across the middle and rb just run around him because he can't catch them, hes the reason we struggle in the middle

Reggie Torbor yes, and Chase Blackburn did a decent job when he played last year.

I liked that he also cut it out in the end though. No sense in taunting too much when the game is going well your way. Keep it up, boys in blue!

Now if only our offense plays well with our defense. We can't keep having only 1 works and the other don't. Giants could have easily been 3-1 if the Giants D showed up against Dallas in Week 1. Because anytime your offense score 35 and still losses it is the the defense. I like Derrek Ward and think he should start, let Brandon Jacobs get things together, because week 1 was not anything close to what I expected.

The defense was once again impressive. If it wasn't for the fumble Jacobs made that led into a TD and the TD Washington made, the defense really only gaved up 7 points.

Great game Big Blue and proving that New York is a Giant town, 3-2 ... woot woot, believe baby ... BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!!

Nice to see Jacobs is back. He just has to learn when he gets contact to protect the ball at all costs. But he ran great and showed that he can be the main back. I would like to see the switch off Jacobs and Ward. It should definitely open up the pass for Eli. Although our defense just had 1 sack, it is still better than what we saw in week 1 and 2 and we got the stops when we needed it most.

Whew, that was a tough game. I'm glad we were able to pull it out. Keep moving forward, and I'll gladly admit I was wrong about underrating this team...
